What a wonderful and quaint place to get some authentic Asian food.
Food - Food is absolutely amazing, and so many options to choose from, I've had the chicken hibachi, the chicken tempura and the pork katsu and all were amazing choices, the chicken hibachi was great, chicken was nice and juicy, not to mention to tender as can be and the vegetables served with it were amazing they had a great balance between cooked yet still retaining a nice bite to them, the pork katsu was airy light and beautifully crunchy paired with a nice savory sauce and served with the same vegetables as the chicken hibachi and finally the tempura, light, crunchy, airy and among all delicate on the taste buds paired with a somewhat semi sweet sauce that's also savory, all choices are served with clear soup and your choice of fried or steamed rice, both choices are great but certain choices are better for certain dishes, and among all the amount of food is more than 1 person can reasonably handle.
Service - Service is absolutely wonderful, they're on top of it, kind and even give stuff on the house occasionally, truly exceptional service that I wish was everywhere.
Atmosphere - Lovely, just truly lovely, the place is a nice dimly lit and quiet place to have a nice dinner with perhaps a friend, a loved one or family member, the decor is oriental and not overpowering it just adds a nice little touch to the place, the furniture is semi high end and provides a feeling of fine dining, the atmosphere of this place is nothing but to love.
Price - It's around 16-30 dollars per person, in this day and age that's gonna unfortunately turn many ppl off from such a wonderful place and I understand but at the very least I believe you absolutely get your money's worth as you get so much food two ppl could eat it and be completely full.
All in all I'd give this place a perfect 5/5, there's really...
Read moreI came here by chance as I was looking for a place to study with someone, and we decided to eat dinner here. The environment was peaceful and relaxing, creating a nice atmosphere with light music, lovely floral designs, good lighting, and clean, large restrooms. They offer tables, booths, and a sushi bar area. The menu is extensive, featuring many more options than you would typically see in Miami restaurants, which was exciting. You can order a large bowl of miso soup, and it's substantial, comforting, and delicious.
I had the Kimodo roll, and it was a generous serving; I didn't even need extra sauce as it was seasoned and garnished perfectly. I enjoyed the sweet tea and some warm sake. They even gave us a free roll and orange slices after we ate to cleanse our palate. However, you have to ask for extra napkins, as they do not have them on the tables. Despite being busy, they provide great customer service. I would absolutely go back again.
We were able to study at the booth, which had room for two laptops, though there wasn't a plug nearby. It wasn't an issue since they were closing soon, and we spent most of the time eating and enjoying a conversation sparked over orchids because they serve dishes with real beautiful flowers. I would order takeout, delivery, and dine-in in the future. I really enjoyed this place; it wasn't overwhelming, and I would recommend it for family, friends, business, and a nice date night spot, or even for lunch on a busy day. I look forward to going again sometime soon as it is a gem among many other restaurants...
Read moreUpdate: learned through the company at Beyond Menu (what the restaurant uses for online ordering) that the restaurant themselves have to process the credit card information. So the manager Jimmy lied to us when he told us there's no way to double charge. I thought the owners were good and honest. We've eaten there for 4 years, of course we will never be back and will strongly recommend people not to deal with person's that steal people's credit card information. Fraud Fraud Fraud! Currently filling police report. Got delivery from there yesterday and tipped through the app. When the delivery man got here he was irritate that we wrote 0.00 in the credit card receipt. We tried explaining that we tipped already through the app and he badgered and lectured until finally we had to just shut the door in his face. Later on we found two credit charges from Tokyo. One for the original (with tip), and then one for $6 more. Guess he changed the 0.00 to 6.00. Called and talked to Jimmy (manager) and he assured that the delivery man couldn't do that. The pending charges yesterday are now transactions and the only thing that changed is that the amount went up. We loved this place for the last 5 years, but will not tolerate credit card fraud. Plus side, the $25 worth of sushi that we paid over $60...
