HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY,WORST WAFFLE HOUSE IN JACKSONVILLE!!! After me and my husband on a work related trip, we decided to eat at waffle house because he had never tried it before. I love waffle house never had a bad experience until I went to this location. We proceeded to order and to my surprise the waitress brought our food out in 5 minutes of sitting there. To most that's great but not when I realized the food was cold. When I expressed this, the waitress took my food back. 15 minutes later brought it back and it seems as though they just slide my hashbrowns to a different plate and put my eggs back on the grill to warm. To my surprise a couple seats behind there was a elderly woman that complained about the same thing. The same waitress came and took her food and put it in the microwave to warm it up. Then brought it to the elderly as if it was a new hot plate of food. My husband being the nice gentleman he is tried to calm me down but I still felt angered by their service and the way they handled my food. My husband still paid for it. Truth be told after me and my husband discussed it he informed me that all of his food was cold as well, even the steak he ordered seemed to be just as though they precooked it and waited for someone to order just to slide it on the plate. From this point on I'm warning everyone I can, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON DOWNRIGHT DISGUSTING SERVICE AND FOOD. BE WARNED....
Read moreSat Morning around 315 am or so a dog was outside of the establishment which was noticed while eating walking around. A guy shortly came in. The sheriff allowed a dog to come in and walk around the restaurant and stated with a condescending voice that he was not allowed to ask a patron if he was a service dog and went back to his phone. The dog walked to the far side of the restaurant where i was not at risk goodness. The dog obviously belonged to the guy that walked in as he was being pet. This is unacceptable ...to say the very least.. Service dogs are trained to remain with a certain distance from their owner but away from others in a restaurant setting due to sanitation rules and guidelines. First if a dog is deemed a service dog, there would be an indicator. They are required to have a service vest. Over heard the gentlemen say that he had followed him from home. The dog was clearly not a service dog. Second the professionalism of the officers ...was not even sub par. It was clear that one of them was playing a game on their phone as the volume was all the way up. Did not even care when i showed concern when the dog walked by ar soon as we received our food. The other was clearly tired and not attentive. I have been to this waffle house several times but have never encountered this. No complaints until now. Definitely...
Read moreDisappointing to say the least. It was my fault for going when it was slammed and to go only. I stood at the register patiently waiting to place my order for a good 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. When I finally got to place my order, I was advised it was going to be a bit due to the understaffed issue and the multitudes or orders ahead of mine. I assured them that it would be okay and that I'd wait because this was my favorite Waffle House and I understood situations were beyond their control. I placed my order, paid and still tipped well. When my food finally came up, half my order was missing and the half I did receive wasn't even correct. The toppings I paid extra for on my hashbrowns weren't there, I received a regular waffle instead of a blueberry one and I was missing my bacon and sausage as well as my biscuits and gravy. Thankfully I checked my order before leaving and was able to tell them the items I was missing. Despite this poor staff being completely overwhelmed due to the volume of people crammed in there, my biggest complaint was that there wasn't a single police officer or security guard on staff keeping the place safe. I felt absolutely awful for the employees and could understand why my order...
