Wendy's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

My family and I were there for a wedding & stayed across the street at the Sheraton. My husband & sons absolutely LOVE Wendy’s typically, so it was a WIN (or so we thought) when we saw it across the street from our hotelly! My husband & I went out to get our family’s food, & ALL of my boys & hubby are SUPER TALL & ALL are athletic, so they eat like horses! We went through the drive thru & ordered our food & of course, the drive thru line was LONGGGG & SLOWWWW! We paid for our order & I forgot to get me a drink, so I asked if I could add my peach drink to my order, & the girl told me they can’t do add-on orders. I thought she meant that since she already told me the total, so she couldn’t add on anything else, so I said, that’s fine, I’ll just pay & do a separate order. She got loud, ghetto, & started rolling her neck & said, “I SAID we can’t do add-on orders!” My husband asked, “So you’re telling me that we have to pull off and drive all the way around and get back in this longgggg line just to get a drink!?” & she nodded her head & said, “Yeah!” — PITIFULLLLLL, especially after already spending $63 on an order!!! So, I said, “Forget it!” & “ghetto girl” told us to move up & they’ll bring it out to us, in which we did… we pulled up behind a car that had already pulled up & had been waiting on their order. Upon us sitting there waiting a LONGGGGGG time for our food, we were just observing…we saw some young black guys on the other side of the restaurant outside the door loitering & then in the front, there was a gray car that had a picture of a white rapper/DJ on the back windowsheld of the car & the guy was sitting on the hood of the car tallking to a white girl, who both stood out like a sore thumb, & then this other guy comes behind the car & takes a picture of the white guy’s license plate & walks off. We thought all of this activity was very suspicious behavior & we started gettng nervous & very antsy. Before we knew it, it’d been 23 minutes & we were STILL sitting in the car in the pull-forward line! My husband got out & went inside to tell them to just cancel our order! We could have made our burgers ourselves during that amount of time! So when my husband went in there to ask for a refund for our order, the manager told him, “Well you know that this is a black person run restaurant!” & my husband said, “Yes ma’am! I see!”, but what she just essentially did was insulted the business & our culture! Just because it’s a restaurant ran by black people doesn’t mean that they should have subpar standards & be super slow & unprofessional!! My husband got his refund & we drove to the closest Chik-Fil-A & received BETTER food, BETTER service & in a QUICKER timeframe, which is SUPER SAD!!! On our way back to our hotel, we look over at the Wendy’s at the police officer had pulled up behind that white guy’s gray car & had him blocked in & it was a big scene, which justifies my feelings for being antsy & nervous & apparently, we’d left just in time, otherwise we would have been right in the midst of that chaos! Nonetheless, I WOULD NOT recommend this Wendy’s to my dog if I had one!...

I don’t know what would make a chicken sandwich purple on the inside. That’s it. That’s the review.

UPDATE!! Just don’t even go there. I was going there 2-3 times a week getting the same meal every time. Sometimes they would ring me up with no issues other times they would say I can’t get a small and I had to order a medium or larger. Of course the price is different. So today I went to get my usual meal! There’s a young girl with an extremely dry lace front at the drive thru window with a ridiculous attitude. She told me to pull up to the window when I ordered my small meal then tries to tell me I can’t order that. I said I can and that’s what I want I get it all the time. She slams the window and gets her manager. Not even telling her why she was getting her! So the manager comes to the window with an attitude as well asking me what the problem was. I’m sorry I don’t have an issue. She then proceeds to tell me she’s the manager it’s her menu and she don’t put smalls as a meal on her menu and I can’t get it. Needless to say I left this Wendy’s and went to a different one and got my meal with no attitude whatsoever! As u can see on my receipt I got a small combo meal (something she said I can’t get because they don’t make) and went on about my day! Don’t go to this Wendy’s if you can avoid it. They are up charging people and forcing them to spend more money! Besides my previous review of their food not...

I placed a mobil order last night for 2 biggie bags with 2 sweet teas and frosty i placed order at 11.20 pm 40 minutes before close I arrive at 11 30 when I get to the 2nd window the man who is the manager on shift states rudely we dont have a frosty for you and do you want a refund I state yes the man gives me my money back in changed 8 quarters and nickles which be never asked me if I wanted my change that way than hands me 2 unsweetened sweet tea as well I had to wait in the drive through for 10 minutes so I can get my food so the order was placed 20 mins before I get my food terrible experience and when the food was ready he hanged it out the window and I had to grab it how rude can you be for what reason whag did I do to you can play the video and see in my car great honda look at the video and the audi from him the register to him speaking with me i say this so you can upgrade your staff who knows what they did yo my food after he got upset because I wanted my refund for a frosty in all change so you mean to tell me you had no dollar bills please looonatvthe camera and audio at 11 30 to 1145 grey honda accord this happen the date of September 9th...
