Want to give as honest of a review as possible otherwise itâs worthless to the next person reading this. With that being said, we went with another couple who have been there. They brought us left over pizza one night and I tried it and it was avg. We decided to go down sat 10/29. Great fall night to sit outside. As everyone from Janesville knows, sitting too close to the water is not optimal due to the carp smell. This is something the restaurant has little control over but patrons should be aware when trying to sit outside. Our waitress was great as should be expected. Very pleasant and polite with fast service. Between the four of us, we ended up having 2 pizzas and having to return two things: a burnt pizza and an advertised ribeye aged for weeks on top of a purĂ©e of squash and some other vegetable. The steak plate in general did not look prepared by a qualified chef. The meat was cut into strips, well done and didnât taste like anything worth $80. It was more like a plate served at Cozumel in town. However, they did take it back without much attitude. The thing with the burnt pizza is itâs on top. Easily visible to the person cooking it. Why would they serve that? Thatâs shows low quality control. They once again took it back with no problem. The other issue sorry to say, were the drinks. The prices for the mixed drinks were avg but way below a high quality standard. You shouldnât be serving expresso martinis in low end Champaign glasses. My âCharles Barkleyâ was not good. Itâs plausible that someone couldâve brought that drink out that someone had left at the bar for a n hr. Too sweet and such little ice it was almost a warm cocktail. These details have to be better for the prices. I could say the standard statement: too pricey for Janesville, but if the standards are there and the food and drinks are great we can pay higher prices. And if you can make your business flourish then your charging the right prices. The quality will dictate if you can charge those prices. We might give this place another shot but this would be...
Read moreMy girlfriends and I went to genisa for the Motherâs Day brunch. This was my fist time there. Our reservation was at 11:45. Food was good. After we ate we kept ordering drinks, so we were spending money. After about the 2nd or 3rd drink in, the waiter stopped asking if we wanted another one. Just kept topping off our water. We wanted to keep ordering drinks and no one was interested in asking us or offering more. We received the bill. Asked the hostess to see if we could get another round of drinks. She proceeds to tell us that there is another group that has been waiting for our table for over 20 minutes. Doesnât politely ask us to move to the bar. She said if there is room at the bar we could go there. She was more preoccupied with getting the other table seated than to continue to wait on us properly. We decided to pay the bill but the waiter stood by and waited for us to pay, trying to rush us out. Our bill was over $200. Iâm a downtown business owner and would never rush my clients out the door. I tried to go in and talk to the manager before writing a bad review. I did go in today, the hostess who rushed us out is the manager, and they were clearly not busy and she asked me to make an appointment to talk with her. I said I could wait a couple minutes for her. Expressed my concerns and how badly we were treated and rushed out of there. Proceeded to tell me that we had a time limit to be there. We left at 1pm at the latest, our reservation was at 11:45. No where did it state that the reservation had a time limit. Mind you, as I was trying to express my feelings and concerns she kept interrupting me with her apologies, barely letting me speak. She only used excuses as to why we had to be rushed and never acknowledged how we felt. Only kept repeating that she apologizes. I got no where with her in acknowledging how she treated us was wrong. We also were the only minority table there and were the only ones that seemed to be rushed out of there. No one deserves to be treated like this on...
Read moreI'm a repeated customer I always enjoyed being here but after this I don't know.
me and my girls had went to the Mother's Day brunch this past weekend and after it all it gave me a bad taste in my mouth. The food was good. I'll give you that but the service was unacceptable . How we were treated was very unprofessional. Long story short we were there from 1145 til almost one. Yes I get it there was reservation that was made but no where on the emails that I received never said nothing about a time frame. Me and my girls were just having a great time and enjoying ourselves ordering drinks and eating and conversations. I noticed that we are two to three drinks in they had took our plates and refilling our water, constantly looking at our table, talking amongst themselves while looking at our table and taking our plate. When we wanted more drinks the waiter completely ignored me and quickly tried to book before I could place an order. There were people that were still there from the time I got the table that was still there and yet we were the ones that were rushed and service was ignored.
We were there to have a good time and catch up with some friends ordering drinks eating and talking. Our bill was over 200 because we had 4 people in our party and to get treated this way was pretty unprofessional! We were the only minorities and yet the other tables didn't get rushed but ours. It doesn't get better after that. We were upset about how we were so one of them reached out to the manager and her response was just overall very unprofessional. She didn't let her talk didn't even try to hear her out telling her that she needs to schedule an appt for a complaint. If you are running a business you take the time to listen, talk and find a solution not just put their concerns on the...
