My Apartment Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Janesville

We have been going here for fish frys on friday nights for over 30 yrs now. Not every week but maybe three or four times a year since we moved from the southwest side of town to halfway to milton. We went there about 3 weeks ago and i was reminded why we don't frequent here more often. Every time we go there to eat we get stuck in the backroom. Last time i asked why we can't sit in the main dining room of the bar? Waitress told us that they were reserved! So my money being unreserved must not spend the same as reserved? I felt like we got leftovers being put in the back room! Told the wife we won't be going for fish here again. It's good fish but we passed up several restaurants on our way in to town and milton that we could have eaten at. HAVING A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS WOULD PUT EVERYONE ON THE SAME PREFERENCE. That way if there was to be a waiting list the list is generated by the first ones that walk in the door and so on. .....when we left that night there were empty tables in the main dining room making me wonder if the people EVER did show for their reservations. Too bad i like patronizing local establishments but i don't like being treated like...

Went here for first time today as they were having Bingo. A line at the door. We got in got seated, ordered our burgers amd fries. Ordered burger medium well. Took a couple bites, and it was pink n cold. I ate the fries and told the waitress when she came to collect the baskets. Then another worker came over and told us this was a table for 10 and next time they need to fill it up. We had 3 people cancel in our party, so only 5. No one ever came over and asked if anyone could sit with is. Then about 10 minutes later the bar owner or bar manager stopped to tell us the same thing. Said she had to pay the Bingo callers. We asked did u turn anyone away. No response. We had 2 other 10-person tables near us and one had 8 people and the other had 9 people. We never saw the bar manager or other worker stop at their table to say anything. Again if someone needed the seats we were never asked. We felt they both were RUDE. The BINGO callers...

Giving 3 stars because waitress was a sweetheat, but food was very bad. My friend & I had Cod dinners. The pieces were tiny and thin. They were so overdone they were like leather. One bite so bad couldnt even chew it. Had to spit it out into napkin. My potato pancakes were not good. My other friend ordered the 2 pork chop dinner. They were very overdone also. She had to struggle to cut it with a steak knife. Could barely chew the meat, so tough. She couldnt even finish 1. Did tell waitress, could tell she felt bad. When we got the check they did reduce the bill by just a couple $, but we really should have sent all dinners back. Not even try to eat them. Order something else or just leave.
