Vito Rose Bagels NPR — Restaurant in Jasmine Estates

Okay, first I wanted to say. I grew up in Jersey and N.Y.C and I am a total bagel snob. I have been on a journey since moving to Florida to find the most authentic bagels and I read about this place. The reviews made me feel very optimistic that this is it! I woke up one Saturday morning and headed there. Not impressed by first impression. You can't see the bagels, in a real bagel bakery the bagels are displayed in a little showcase by the counter so you can see what is available and what they look like. The place is drap and pretty generic all around. We ordered a dozen bagels and two egg and sausage breakfast sandwiches to eat there. It was a bit of a wait but I was excited so I didn't mind. I got my food and found a seat that opened up in time. The bagel was alright but the sandwich was awful. I ordered fried egg, sausage and cheese on everything bagel. The bagel was already stale, the egg was scrambled, the sausage came from the freezer and was cheap and the cheese was cold. I dont know if it was a bad day? But I dont see where all of the positive reviews are coming from when a breakfast place can't get a simple sandwich close to right. The dozen bagels were okay but nothing to...

Been here several times. Been overcharged for i guess a misunderstanding. I ordered in phone and asked to verify there’s 2 eggs in the sandwich. Got charged $3.00 extra. On both. Honestly who orders 4 eggs on a sandwich.

I ordered bacon crisp and instead they crisped the heck out of the eggs. Yuck.

I ordered over the phone, do i wouldn’t have to stand in line, and just about every PASCO code enforcement employee had just gotten there!

Most places have a separate line for pick up orders but it appears it was just the one trainee working the register. I waited 12 minutes for a preorder just to pay. Not cool.

It should be easy enough to order a bacon egg cheese on a bagel without needing a crash course on all the specials. I guess they owned a Starbucks previously, as that feels like the complexity of the ordering process if not familiar with their menu?

Growing pains i guess, but i thought this is just one of several shops...

The bagels are the star here, the service definitely needs some work, it’s still very new so of course they’re still working things out but there really needs to be a section of napkins salt pepper ketchup available a lot easier than waiting back in line to ask for it, I’m really hoping as they grow they’ll also install a little area for just to go orders where you get cream cheese or butter and quickly order a dozen bagels or so. We got there around 1 on a Sunday an hour before close time the bagels still tasted so fresh we did bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel and we did a sun dried tomato bagel with scallion cream cheese but they gave us vegetable, I’m not sure if they didn’t have scallion cream cheese but the veggie was very very good again it’s a new place so completely worth it the girls were friendly and the bagels were truly the best I’ve ever had in Florida (new...
