The staff was rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. I had a similar poor experience here several years ago and decided to give it another try since my favorite place was closed for repairs. Maybe things improved over the years. There was one waitress years ago that was really nice, but I didn't see her there today. The experience today was terrible and I won't go back. If you keep quiet you might get away with an ok experience, but if you have any requests or complaints, you're walking on thin ice. I posted my experience on Facebook and was bombarded and harassed by a dishonest staff that I did not recognize, and was not served by, which made the experience that much worse. There is too much to list, but to cut it short, one of the people I did not recognize commented a sarcastic remark on my Facebook post about my "cheap tip," which was of course deserving with poor service. My usual place for 10 years, the Breakfast Club, I give my regular server who is very professional, an average of a 50%, and at times 100% of the bill for a tip. With average service from other servers, I typically give a 20 - 25% tip. This was just plain bad and I felt like I was being too generous with a little over a 10% tip. It was also deflecting from the point, that my server was rash, unprofessional, and impersonable, and the staff reacted in a rude and bizarre manner on my Facebook post. After how I was treated on Facebook, no tip would have been deserving. The childish and unprofessional comments were surprising. Another one that I did not know was going through my Facebook page and took screenshots of an old comical meme between friends that had nothing to do with the situation today. Such bizarre behavior. It's been a long time since I felt the need to write a negative review, and I'm beginning to wonder if some positive reviews were from the staff and their friends. I don't recommend the place, and I won't go back. If the Breakfast Club is closed again, I'll go to Rams, Oasis Coffee Spot, or the...
Read moreWe usually come to this place to eat because of how conveniently close it used to be to our home. Every single time that we went there we ended up having to send our food back because they didn’t cook it the way we asked them to. Usually they cook the eggs a lil more and then my husband is happy. We pay our bill and give generous tips even when not deserved obviously because ,Apparently , according to the waitresses there us being regulars at their restaurant is a Inconvenience because they don’t know how to cook eggs. We told them if they didn’t want to fix the food then he would just eat somewhere else and me and my kids would eat our food and pay for it and then leave. So we were yelled at to not come back again. None of us ate any of the food on our plates and since we were being harassed and screamed at by the waitress , we decided to leave. She threatened to call the police on my children and I and spit in my face screaming at me saying she thinks that we did. The restaurant was completely full of guests when this lady decided to go crazy on us because she was rude from the minute we walked in. Never ever will we go back. And I WILL never recommend anyone eat there. Food is terrible! Makes me disgusted the way they treat there guests. Most of the staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. OH and not to mention the fact that they always have hair in the food and the fruit flies are always...
Read moreI stopped in here for lunch last week on what was an unusually busy day according to one of the employees. It's a seat yourself establishment from what I could tell, so I found an empty table. My waitress was over quickly to tell me about the specials and answer any questions. I felt like breakfast so I ordered the two eggs over medium with bacon, grits, a biscuit, and coffee. My food came out quickly. It's hard to mess up eggs so those were good. The bacon was cooked well, not too crunchy not to chewy. The waitress offered to grill the biscuit and I'm glad she did. It put a nice crust on it and really enhanced the flavor. Last, but not least: the grits. I don't know (should have asked) if they make these the traditional way or if they're instant but the taste was wonderful. Usually it's hit or miss with grits but these were pretty great.
The inside of the restaurant is what you'd expect from a locally owned diner/cafe. That sort of welcoming feeling you get when you visit your regular spot. All of the staff greeted their tables with generally positive attitudes. It was definitely a good first experience. Next time I visit, I'll try one of their...
