The staff was rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. I had a similar poor experience here several years ago and decided to give it another try since my favorite place was closed for repairs. Maybe things improved over the years. There was one waitress years ago that was really nice, but I didn't see her there today. The experience today was terrible and I won't go back. If you keep quiet you might get away with an ok experience, but if you have any requests or complaints, you're walking on thin ice. I posted my experience on Facebook and was bombarded and harassed by a dishonest staff that I did not recognize, and was not served by, which made the experience that much worse. There is too much to list, but to cut it short, one of the people I did not recognize commented a sarcastic remark on my Facebook post about my "cheap tip," which was of course deserving with poor service. My usual place for 10 years, the Breakfast Club, I give my regular server who is very professional, an average of a 50%, and at times 100% of the bill for a tip. With average service from other servers, I typically give a 20 - 25% tip. This was just plain bad and I felt like I was being too generous with a little over a 10% tip. It was also deflecting from the point, that my server was rash, unprofessional, and impersonable, and the staff reacted in a rude and bizarre manner on my Facebook post. After how I was treated on Facebook, no tip would have been deserving. The childish and unprofessional comments were surprising. Another one that I did not know was going through my Facebook page and took screenshots of an old comical meme between friends that had nothing to do with the situation today. Such bizarre behavior. It's been a long time since I felt the need to write a negative review, and I'm beginning to wonder if some positive reviews were from the staff and their friends. I don't recommend the place, and I won't go back. If the Breakfast Club is closed again, I'll go to Rams, Oasis Coffee Spot, or the...

We usually come to this place to eat because of how conveniently close it used to be to our home. Every single time that we went there we ended up having to send our food back because they didn’t cook it the way we asked them to. Usually they cook the eggs a lil more and then my husband is happy. We pay our bill and give generous tips even when not deserved obviously because ,Apparently , according to the waitresses there us being regulars at their restaurant is a Inconvenience because they don’t know how to cook eggs. We told them if they didn’t want to fix the food then he would just eat somewhere else and me and my kids would eat our food and pay for it and then leave. So we were yelled at to not come back again. None of us ate any of the food on our plates and since we were being harassed and screamed at by the waitress , we decided to leave. She threatened to call the police on my children and I and spit in my face screaming at me saying she thinks that we did. The restaurant was completely full of guests when this lady decided to go crazy on us because she was rude from the minute we walked in. Never ever will we go back. And I WILL never recommend anyone eat there. Food is terrible! Makes me disgusted the way they treat there guests. Most of the staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. OH and not to mention the fact that they always have hair in the food and the fruit flies are always...

I stopped in here for lunch last week on what was an unusually busy day according to one of the employees. It's a seat yourself establishment from what I could tell, so I found an empty table. My waitress was over quickly to tell me about the specials and answer any questions. I felt like breakfast so I ordered the two eggs over medium with bacon, grits, a biscuit, and coffee. My food came out quickly. It's hard to mess up eggs so those were good. The bacon was cooked well, not too crunchy not to chewy. The waitress offered to grill the biscuit and I'm glad she did. It put a nice crust on it and really enhanced the flavor. Last, but not least: the grits. I don't know (should have asked) if they make these the traditional way or if they're instant but the taste was wonderful. Usually it's hit or miss with grits but these were pretty great.

The inside of the restaurant is what you'd expect from a locally owned diner/cafe. That sort of welcoming feeling you get when you visit your regular spot. All of the staff greeted their tables with generally positive attitudes. It was definitely a good first experience. Next time I visit, I'll try one of their...

We love Hilltop cafe. My favorite breakfast now is a waffle with blueberries & whipped cream & maple syrup!! All of the food is ALWAYS awesome. Greg is in the kitchen cooking up a storm, keeping all the orders straight! All of the waitresses are the best and so friendly, are bringing you coffee all the time, asking if you need anything, how’s your food, this place just rocks! This is the only place I will come to. Great job to all of you. I had breakfast on 11/13 at Hilltop cafe and tried the special, Pumpkin pancakes & bacon. OMG. Best breakfast ever. The pumpkin flavor was a perfect strength - not too strong and they were sweet enough you didn’t need much syrup on them. The 2 pieces of bacon were crisp and tasty. You got 3 silver dollar pancakes but they were on the larger side. It was a lot of food and I ended up taking 1 pancake and 1 piece of bacon home. The service here is amazing. Sam, Megan & Sheree are the best waitresses.

This food was cooked and crafted to pure cafe perfection. (You guys know me, it's only breakfast reviews really) This is everything I want from my breakfast diner food. Bacon was soft with real popping pork flavor, not Sysco, corporate delivery frozen truck hog. Scrambled eggs were soft as butter, yellow as dandelion and fluffy as a cloud. Toast was burnt just right and the home fries were half soft and white and half browned and crispy, just the way they should be, a potato mess on your plate. Makes every Irishman happy. My server was eager to help me and double check everything with pleasure even with a full house there. Drive to Hilltop and eat well with great staff and customers that all want to be there, regular folks on first name basises. Great spot.

We've got bacon, ham, peppers, and egg on the first sandwich;, bacon egg and cheese on the second; a Belgian waffle with syrup; and a chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs and home fries. The food was fresh and tasty. The first sandwich was a little dry. It needed some sort of condiment, I tossed on a bit of ketchup there, but the bacon egg and cheese was great. Needed nothing. The side of bacon tasted great, and the home fries were delicious as well. The country fried steak was alright, but the gravy could use a bit more flavor. Salt and pepper were added. The eggs were unmemorable. Belgian waffle was thick and hearty. Very nice addition as a dessert, and the maple syrup was flavorful. Definitely would recommend.
