Zax Creamery — Restaurant in Jasper

My son is allergic to milk. I went in for a milkshake for myself and was surprised to see that there were a couple dairy free options and wound up getting him a scoop. I did tell them about the milk allergy and made sure to ask that the dairy free was kept fully separate from the regular flavors, different scoops/equipment and all, was told yes. My son wound up with an anaphylactic reaction and had to get an EpiPen and go to the ER. We know there's a risk of cross contamination any time we eat out and that the responsibility ultimately lies with us, and the staff was very kind when we called from the ER to get the ingredient list, but I'm just leaving this review in case any other parents of milk allergic kids are wondering if this is a safe option (it was not in our case).

We had Zax Creamery for the dessert at our wedding reception and it was so delicious! It was hard to decide which flavors because all that we tasted were delicious, including the lower sugar cinnamon roll. Our guests loved it, so fun to see the kids running across the venue to get in line. They served so much ice cream and were there longer than expected to make sure all of the guests had a chance to get some. And Zach and the team were excellent to work with leading up to the wedding day, so attentive to what we wanted! We will definitely be getting ice cream from them again in the future and highly recommend them...

I ordered a pita sandwich. First they forgot my order. Then they said out of lettuce. Then they went in the back for a long time. And then I asked if I was getting a sandwich. The sandwich had sliced carrots and cauliflower in it on a bread sandwich. I was truly disappointed. Won't be back. The owner stated on here that they do not have these items. It was on the wall with pictures. First of all, I was not alone. Second of all, those with me saw the menu and what I received. So now the owner is not looking into it? rather illuding that I lied!! Lol. Everyone who knows me knows better. Because...
