If I could I would give no stars at all. This place sucks, it is dirty and disgusting! We had such a awful experience here. They took over and 1 hour & 20 min. to bring us food. Fish dish was completely raw and when we talked to manager he said he would bring another one well done, after another 43 minutes, and he brought same dish but he said "it was well done" but it was completely raw. I ordered rice and vegetables only, but he brought it after 1 hour and 40 min. And he brought it until I yelled at him that everyone on the table were finished their meals and still no having mine. Waiter did not apologized, instead he brought my food after 20 min. When he brought it, told him I don't want it and wont pay for it. Then my friends order sweets but it was disgusting 😝 huge black hair was on the desserts. No one apologized for anything, not even the owner who was standing behind us at the bar and watching what was happening and listening our complaints! At the end waiter was rude and the disrespectful when we were at the table. DON'T GO THERE, THIS PLACE SUCKS, FOOD IS AWFUL, NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY OVER CHARGE THEIR FOOD KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS ARE NASTY! DISGUSTING BATHROOMS AND UNCOMFORTABLE TEMPERSTURE... SO COLD AND VERY EXPENSIVE FIR THE POOR FOOD QUALITY THEY GIVE! I think they need the visit of city inspector 🤔🤔🤔. They need to be perform an inspection here, clean the restaurant, train their employees and learn how to treat...

Our first time dining here on 12/31/18. Reservation was made for 6pm. Arrived at 5:55pm and the place was pretty empty. We were left standing for about 20 minutes before getting our table. What is the point of having a reservation? Once seated we started with appetizers- two papa rellena and a empanada. 25 minutes pass and the empanada came. Another 30 minutes one papa rellena came and they tell me only one came because they ran out. Ok, so after an hour of sitting and trying to get the appetizers we decided to order dinner- the waiter comes 5 minutes later to tell us my kids will have to order something else because they ran out of rotisserie chicken. Really!!! So we ordered something different and we all waited about an hour for our dinner to come out. My friend and his wife received the wrong dish TWICE and by the time theirs came out 1 1/2 hours later we were ALREADY DONE with our dinner. So much for a family dinner... Unreal- unacceptable-bad experience. I give Two stars because the food was actually very tasteful and because no discount given, for the horrendous experience. I am willing to give them another shot...

It’s been a while since I last visited this place, but I recently stopped by for a quick pick-up and was pleasantly received by the staff. The pick-up was swift and hassle-free, and there were no issues with picking up my order. The food was ready, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality.

The ceviche de pescado was a standout dish. The fish was fresh and cut into delightful chunks, and the flavors were bursting with taste. The portion size was generous, and I couldn’t resist taking a second helping. I also tried their chicken, which was expertly prepared and never dry. The sauces were flavorful, and I prefer the spicy green one over the mild option.

Another person with me ordered the Lomo Saltado, which was equally impressive. The meat was tender and juicy, and the vegetables were sautéed to perfection. I also decided to give their Chicha Morada a try, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be...

Peruvian ceviche is my favorite of all the ceviches and I’m so upset at what I picked up tonight. Cebiche is supposed to be mixed in leche de Tigre or mostly all lime juice. When I opened my ceviche tonight the liquid looked like orange water. Suspicious but I pushed all the fish to the bottom in hopes of “cooking” the fish in some tartness. The fish was gross because it didn’t get any acidic cooking from sitting in the juice and then I tasted the liquid which wasn’t tart at all. It wasn’t even mildly tart like orange juice. It’s inedible, as the liquid is supposed to be mostly lime juice which then marinates and cooks the fish. If you look at other photos of their ceviche and compare it to mine you can see clearly there’s a difference. This was a waste of money and trip to pick up what was supposed to be a treat. The tamal peruano was also too salty and not worth it.

This place breaks my heart. Back when they were on Kedzie years ago, they were THE spot for Peruvian food – authentic flavors, perfect lomo saltado, always packed. Now? Just another restaurant serving low-quality, microwaved-tasting meat. I ordered their lomo saltado and got boiled, flavorless meat with zero wok-seared char. What happened to the kitchen that used to care? To make things worst, they sneak in an 18% autotip now. For what? Lazy service and food that’s a shadow of what it once was? The only decent thing was the alfajor – and no, one decent dessert doesn’t excuse this mess. RIP to what used to be great. If you actually want good Peruvian food, go somewhere that still respects its customers and its own legacy. Never coming back.

06/16/19 UPDATE: While the food here is still amazing the service was completely lacking on our last couple of visits. The wait staff seemed robotic and non attentive. I don't know if its due to the restaurants new location (maybe new management?) or what happened but I love this place and I hope that some positive changes will be made. The food is still great but the wait staff leaves a lot to be desired. Changing from 5 stars to 3 due to lack of attentiveness. :( old review: Their new location has a lot more space and the food remains the same.... AMAZING!
