I just don't know how this place survives on a city of good to great Italian restaurants. The dining room is in need of an overhaul. The decor looks like it hasn't been updated since '82. The mural on the wall is a bad joke on Italian restaurants. We order a Ceasar Salad split and a large pizza. The Waitress (Who was very sweet) could not tell us the brand of wine they carry. When I asked she told me we have red and white. I order a Peroni instead. The Ceaser salad was brought to out table in one bowl with the dressing in a 2 ounce to-go cup with a lid place directly in the salad. She apologized that the cook did not split it yet brought no serving utensils. I told her to take it back and have the cook toss the salad in the dressing and split it like we asked. When we did get our salad we discovered that the dressing is not homemade but a cheap imitation. The croutons we also bought and stale.
The pizza came out in a proper time but it was just ok. It lacked seasoning and the sauce was bland. If shakers of seasoning and cheese were served on the side it wouldn't have helped much. The dessert menu was spumoni, cannoli and tiramisu. Not very appealing and judging by the rest of the food. Not made on premises. We did pass on our way out a Good Humor freezer like you'd find at the 7-11 fill with Good Humor ice cream bars. I don't get it. This was our first and last time at Dino's. Can't recommend this place to...
Read moreI have been waiting to eat at Dino’s for a while now and have heard many good things about it. Hearing great reviews my expectations were high. When you walk in the atmosphere is your old school Italian restaurant which I love because these places remind me of my grandfathers old place. The customer service lacked significantly. I felt I was an inconvenience to my waitress. The place was kinda empty so you’d think the waitress would be attentive by this is not true. The food was okay but not what I thought it would be. The pizza lacked in flavor and had to much cheese. This made all my topping fall off. The dessert tasted old as if it has been sitting in the cooler for to long uncovered. I received my bill and saw that the waitress added $10 to the bill but didn’t say why. After added the total of all my food I realized she added her own tip. This is frustrating because the information wasn’t given. Once she ran my card she still expected for me to tip on top of this. If I didn’t catch it I would of tipped twice. For two of us to eat pizza and drink pop it came to $71.80. For me this is a little pricey due to the fact that the food lacked. The only good thing about this was the buss man they had tending to the tables. He worked hard and make sure everyone was accommodated as best as possible. He even boxed up my left over...
Read moreJust moved to the area and wanted to try a new spot. I was hoping for something a little better than what I found here. WIth it having a little more of an old school, traditional, out dated feel I was hoping the food would be more traditional and flavorful. I had the split pea soup which I thought was very good and Spaghetti and Meatballs. The spaghetti was cooked well but disappointed with the 1 small spoonful of sauce they gave me. This could of used more sauce. The meatballs were very disappointing and I couldn't even eat half of one due to the weird taste. I gave my wife a bite and she agreed. Her slice of cheese pizza was just eh alright but tough. Pretty annoying to be sitting next to an employee stapling bags together thru out whole meal. Click clack click clack click clack for 30 mins brought the environment down. Maybe do that next time in the other room for parties but not next to the 3 booths and 2 tables for people trying to dine there. Another couple came in after house to dine in and their Italian Salad looked really good. Our server was ok she was nice but did have to remind her to bring our drink order because she forgot it. The bread was very good. I think we will continue to look around for more neighborhood Italian...
