All my recommendations for this place. Serbian restaurants and market foods. Very good market and restaurant. Everything I said is nothing then how is the food over there. Every meat is home made meat and they prepare meat for selling. Have chicken, pork, lamb, beef. Like you can but fresh meat and prepare at home and the same way you can buy meat and they will prepare for you and you can eat inside or outside. You can also order food but the phone and they will make foosd for you. One of the best Serbian restaurant in Chicago. Meat is always fresh and they have all kind of meat what have in Serbia. Like cevapi, pljeskavice, gurmaske pljeskavice, punjene cevapi and the rest of the meat. People who work over there is very kind and friendly people, and they are always ready to help you and explain what kind of meat is there. They prepare food also great. They prepare food on the grill and food is amazing and very tasty and delicious. You have to go there and try. Also they have pecenje from pork and lamb, and you can order for your holiday and they will make for you. Like all my recommendations for this place. Delicious! This Serbian deli is a testament to quality. It's a true hidden gem. Quality meats that are processed, smoked and served on site, what more can you ask for!?

My wife and I, on a trip back from Ikea, came across Lazic Deli to escape traffic. We were promptly greeted by Tudor and the smokey smell of meats and spices. He asked if we were familiar with Serbian food and since we were not, he gave us a run down of everything on their food menu. We were also told how all the meat was processed in house by Alex, the original owner's son.

We decided on the cevapi sandwich. Though we thought it was a bit expensive we were told it contained 13 sausages! Once it arrived, we were impressed with the portions and quality. We both were unable to finish the single meal.

The deli also had a wonderful array of uncooked meats and sausages. Though mainly Serbian, they also had a decent bit of Polish food. They also had candy, chocolate, drinks and other snacks. The bread was incredible and the baked sweets were almost irresistible!

Visited September 9, 2023: absolutely outstanding first time visit to Lazic Deli. This deli was highly recommended by the Chicago tribune when reviewing the Best Maxwell St., Polish Sausage sandwich in the Chicagoland area. The tribune nailed it. Our party of three all ordered the Maxwell St., Polish sausage and it exceeded every expectation. The bun, the sausage, the sauerkraut the Girardelli and the French fries were individually and collectively scrumptious.

We arrived just as the afternoon lunch was subsiding so we got a comfortable table inside and had an opportunity to view this delis amazing selection of meats and semi-prepared meals. The deli was spotlessly cleaned and so comfortable to just “hang around in“.

We received patient and polite service from the moment we entered. Employees took their time showing us the menu and explaining the amazing options.
