Duke's — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I just had the worst experience that I have ever had at Duke's today. I have been eating there for over a decade.

Juicy beef with onions and sweet peppers and small fries is all I ever get. THE BEEF IS ALWAYS HOT AND PILED HIGH ON THE SANDWICH, LOADED WITH ONIONS, FRIES ARE ALWAYS SALTY, FRESHLY MADE AND PIPING HOT 5 🌟!

I took my neighbor there today and we orderd 2 juicy beefs w/ sweet peppers and onions and 2 small fries. Home and $26.03 dollars later we find out the BEEFS were mostly JUST juicy bread. The VERY LITTLE BEEF that was on the sandwich tasted normal but the texture of it seemed old and tough. I didn't even know that there was onions on it. The very few onions were only on one side of the sandwich. EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS HOT WHEN YOU GET HOME. THAT IS A BIG PLUS ➕ but the fries had no salt and didn't taste the same like they have always done for the last decade.

The worst quality food that I ever paid for!

I will make a NOTE to self not to eat there on a SUNDAY ever again!

Still not sure how I feel about this place. Some of the prices seems very reasonable.. But at the same time.. $6.99 for 5 mozzarella sticks that were like all smashed together ..with a 1/3 cup of Mariana sauce (lol probably just didn't fill it all the way i get it... it happens..) but still.. Not gonna lie the food was pretty tasty. The cheese fries i ordered were decent would have preferred them less mushy but there was a nice flavor. The breaded mushrooms were also ok. My partner seems to like them. Overall I would give it another try cuz the food tasted pretty good just didn't expect it to cost as much as it did. Wish the burger came with fries lol. Also the lady at the counter was like nice... But seemed annoyed I was there. It was odd... Maybe I just took It the wrong way. But regardless I work in customer service.. so just being honest I didn't feel that...

I've been going to Dukes for so long ,I cant remember when I didnt . The beef is the sandwich to go for with sweet and hot peppers omg and the combo is agreat sandwich . Right on the southeast corner of Central and Elston is the location of a place you have to stop at to get that mom n pop fast food , everything on the menu is tasty and check out all of their specials . They have dinner items ribs chicken shrimp fish and steak sandwiches. I usually get hot dog special (2dogs&fries) and a beef or combo and a burger with all the toppings of a hot dog , the sport peppers taste great on a burger . For a small place they have a large menu to choose from and I never had disappointing meal from them . The only thing that has changed with Dukes is you no longer can eat in but the doors are open and you'll never be...
