The consommé de borrego (lamb stew) is really amazing! Super flavorful with a little heat, smoky chipotle, hominy, and bone-in lamb shank with a lot of meat. So delicious, and a large portion for 2. The gorditas are huge and packed with meat, the chicharrón prensando was excellent!

Humble place with excellent food. Tacos alambres are life changing, and they have a rotating selection of interesting guisado dishes, lamb stew, and more. They prepare everything to order, which means you're getting fresh food. Every time. Never had any issues after ordering a dozen times. Worth waiting a few minutes for, or call ahead and pick up....

I was angry at first. We ordered our food to be delivered at 9pm on 8/24; My debit card was charged right away. It was supposed to be delivered ETA 10:08 pm. I tried to call the restaurant and eatstreet but the restaurant was closed. Eatstreet didn't respond either. So today 8/25, I spoke with the restaurant owner and they never got the order. She called Eatstreet and I got my refund back. My family and I still decided to eat inside just because it was so close and we were so hungry. OMG, we are glad we did. This little restaurant on Kedzie has delicious food I came for a second time and am still very pleased I again ordered the chicharrones with salsa verde so delicious!!! And the rice and beans are the best around. I had to order an extra beans and rice for tonight or breakfast. Today I also picked up their takeout menu so I can get delivery if I don’t feel like driving. I believe I have found my Mexican restaurant. Also Anna who took my order was so kind and friendly too.
