What I have to say is about this particular location and not Great American Bagel as a whole; they have some great locations and menus.
However, this location at Terminal 1 has really gone downhill. It's a shame because it use to be my favorite spot to grab a bite when at the airport. A few years ago they had a decent menu selection and friendly staff. Recently, and even today, I've noticed that their food selection has gotten smaller and the staff seems to be bottom-of-the-barrel. I went there today and this scruffy-looking employee emerged from the back hugging an armful of diet cokes, running to their fridge to restock it while the cashier just laughed at him, as well as my reaction to the scene. When the cashier asked me what I wanted I just turned around and walked away; I had seen enough. Word must be getting around about this place because I haven't seen a line at this location in a long time, whereas a few years ago there was always a line. The brand new sandwich place right next door was packed today at the same time that Great American Bagel had nobody in line. This location either needs to improve to its former self or...

I read the reviews and it appears that management is NOT addressing this problem which is even worse. The male employee treated me like I was so stupid in English although I have lived in this country for 30 years just because I could not decide on which bagel I want. Since I was indecisive, he could have told me to step aside while I think about it. Instead he asked me ādo you speak Spanish?ā which is a kind of racist question. Iām Asian & I speak 4 languages including English. The two women who work with him are no better: one of them just threw the bag with food on the counter & the cashier just gave me a look like go ahead, pay & move on. None of the employees seem to be happy with their job and it was early in the morning. No excuse that they are tired. They simply are not trained on what customer service...

Waited patiently patiently well if you employee told everybody at her workplace about her tattoos instead of serving me while I stood there right at the cash register ready to order. They were not particularly busy and she even turned her back and moved away from me to show everybody her tattoos and talk. I asked if there was a number or a manager that I could complain too and they said there was nothing they were going to give me. I left without paying. Additionally the young female with tattoos was so rude when I complained she said it was my fault because I wasnāt standing 4 feet to the left where people normally order. Pathetic. I was the only person standing there. Will never return and that female will never get much past...
