GT's Fast Food — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I visited this restaurant for my 3rd time in a month. I keep coming back again and again.

Food: The food options are endless. You get burgers, hot dogs, salads, gyros, and milk shakes. You can make hot dogs and burgers as a meal for cheap. My favorite is their version of a Chicago dog for $4.99. It's cheap, tasty, and super close tasting like a real authentic Chicago dog. Price is around $5-$15 at most, depending on what you want to eat or if you are buying a meal or not.

Atmosphere: The place has 5 booth tables designed for families similar to McDonald's. It's very quiet and food is made to order quickly. The place is very well clean and if you want to watch the TV in the background you can do so. The place is super clean and very well kept, including the bathrooms as well!

Customer service: The cashier who's always there is super sweet and nice. Polite and omega friendly. I even asked him for an additional bun for my friends daughter, and he didn't even charge me for it. This man is wonderful and friendly and will bring your food to you. I keep going back just to see him, and he evens calls me Boss. 😀

Parking: It's in a shopping center. So there's a few spots for the restaurant where you can park right in front.

So.. i got FOOD POISONING from this place last week. I wish i was joking but I went there monday night to get a hot dog dinner combo meal and the next day I began getting extremely bad food poisoning symptoms (i wont go into detail, but it was gross). I proceeded to spend the rest of the week in extreme pain only able to eat soup and apple sauce.

I don't recommend this place because I literally just got food poisoning here. I have eaten hundreds of hot dogs in my life and this was the first time I ever got sick from one. I know the food poisoning was from here because I ate only normal meals that I eat frequently before on Monday and couldnt eat anything else on Tuesday onwards. Now I probably won't ever eat a hot dog again.

I should have turned around when I got to the place because there were no customers there but I like to give places the benefit of the doubt. But i wont ever do that again.

I debated posting this review because I am not in the business of putting down small businesses but I am not able to ignore a lack of food safety leading to getting a serious illness from eating this place's food. I still am in disbelief since this was the first time I got food poisoning...

I really hate giving bad reviews to small businesses but I also hate feeling like someone is taking advantage of me. The menu items are definitely over priced, but that’s fine if you’re giving me grade A food. The food I got today was grade F easy. Anybody who fries chicken, or is familiar with buying fried chicken, knows what chicken looks like when it’s being RE-Fried, leading it to being overcooked. And refried chicken is super obvious to point out. What that means is that they’re taking some chicken that was previously fried, and dropping it back in the grease. It is an absolute major pet peeve of mine. The chicken and onion rings were refried. We’ve all had fresh chicken, it’s crispy, golden, soft, doesn’t have splits in the middle of the chicken where you can see the bone. Once again, very overpriced for this quality of food.
