It’s a nice small local Chicago park, good place to make a walk, the north branch river cuts along it, and it’s well lit at night, and a baseball diamond, a floodplain You can find some toads, raccoons, squirrels, skunks in the park, some ducks and geese And some cool native Tallgrass

We love this local park... to play, splash around, run over the river and through the marsh preserve path, and even sometimes stop to shoot hoops on the black top. We also really enjoyed a special concert of Youth Mariachi in the park this summer!

Without the 5' fence I'd give it 5 stars! Could you imagine a nice well designed bridge over this? Maybe a little design competition? Would be nice, but for now, how about a 42" high fence...

After enrolling my son in a Park Kids after school program at a different park (which shall remain nameless) for several years in a row, I enrolled my son in Eugene Field's program and am stunned at the clear difference in quality. Whereas the other location was characterized by a hostile environment rife with bullying, the exact opposite is true of Eugene Field. Not only is it a positive environment where mutual respect among those enrolled is a consistent reality, there are excellent activities--like drama and seasonal sports--for the students to sign up for as part of the program. Obviously, I highly recommend...

This was a nice - if slightly run down - park to go to when I was a kid, but ever since the Army Corps of Engineers redid the northern portion facing Foster Avenue as wetlands it became much, much more than that. I've always liked Park District properties facing the Chicago River, and this takes advantage of it in ways that now make perfect sense. Be forewarned that this area floods during heavy rains, though, so plan accordingly during...

A friendly neighborhood park in the Mayfair area, Field Park features open green space, a solid playground, and tennis and basketball courts. It’s well-maintained and typically not overly crowded, which makes it great for a peaceful outing or family playtime. Local residents appreciate its clean environment and safe atmosphere. A solid option for...
