The worst. And normally I’m lenient bc I understand they’re short staffed and stuff sucks. Went in at 8:30pm (Google says this location closes at 9pm) and first off, music was soooooo loud I think it was hard for the guy to hear my order; it was definitely hard to hear him. I ordered a veggie (with pep and other customizations), chips and a drink. Get my sandwich a couple minutes later, sit down to eat at 8:34pm, and the guy goes “we close in 5 minutes.” Ok, I get you don’t want customers staying longer, but what? So I get my stuff, take a drink of my root beer—tastes weird so I switch it for Dr Pepper, and mention it to the now two workers—no response. Ok. Find a spot outside to eat and my sandwich is wrong and the lettuce and cucumbers look a few days old. Ew. So, I take it back to the shop and tersely announce I would please like a refund. Manager (?) looks at me and goes ‘what?’ because I assume he can’t hear me over the music. So, I project and speak louder, repeating that they made my sandwich wrong and would like a refund. No apology, no ‘our bad, let us remake it.’ Nothing. Not coming back...
Read moreWon’t go back here. Wish I had not ruined my day by coming here. The guy had an attitude from the moment I politely asked if he can be careful that nothing touches the meat…I’m vegetarian. I said it so carefully because I know that he might have to go out of his way, and I completely understand Ans would walk away. However, he condescendingly kept making remarks about how it’s not possible to prepare a sandwich without touching meat. I explained that the other JJ’s in Skokie, Niles, Schaumburg have done it. He was being rude to the point where I got uncomfortable and said you don’t have to make it if it’s difficult for you. I was afraid he’d be contaminating on purpose… Please don’t message me back saying “oh we’re sorry, can you please contact so and so and we will help you…no one ever helps or cares. You maybe just want your google viewers to see your reply and not really anything is done about it afterwards. I would rather go out of my way and not to come back to this one. FYI the guy making it- had bleached braided hair. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was rude...
Read moreI first experienced JJ in Indiana. So when I came back to Chicago I found out there was one in my area for delivery. While working on finals I got the craving for a good vegetarian sandwich. I remembered JJ, so I ordered. They were fast, and delicious (I got the #13). I was hooked. The next evening I thought ALL day long, that I would get the same sandwich. I called and They told me they dont deliever to my house! This made no sense since i ordered the evening before. Even when I explained that they refused. The guy on the phone asked me to come in for my order. I wasnt going to walk there and back, and the bus was kind of out of the question. I have no clue what happened. I thought I found a new favorite take out place, but instead im stuck walking to subway. If your near by go on in for a sandwhich its good and affordable, but dont count...
