Loopie & Nato's Gelato — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

UPDATE September 2022: I went here for lunch. I had the Pork Tamale and it was excellent! Full of flavor, tender and juicy. The salsa was also fresh and flavorful. For dessert I had Strawberry Cheesecake and Mayan Chocolate Gelato, Wow! Again, the people were super nice and attentive. I will continue to go here.

ORIGINAL 2020: I've already been here twice and both times have been great.

The desserts have been amazing. Creamy and full of flavor. If available, try the Toasted Marshmallow, it's great.

The people have been great. Makes suggestions and they let you try the flavors.

They have tables inside and and outside.

I will continue to return. It's sounds like they are going to have soups when the weather cools, I look forward to trying it.

Bicycling: Milwaukee Avenue is an official route. There are bicycle lanes north of here. They have outdoor seating. There is no bike rack, but there fence nearby...

Went in asking if they had any dairy free chocolate, the server (a middle aged man with a dark beard) was incredibly rude and off putting. He waved at my face to grab attention with a boorish look while I was looking at the flavors, and when I asked if he had any df chocolate, I was met with a sharp “nope” before he turned and address the person behind me.

Update, in response to owner:

Is your way of ‘hoping to make things right’ indirectly accusing a would-be customer of not being honest with their review? Or what do you mean to say with ‘inconsistencies with the events as described’? Truthfully, there goes a lot to say about an owner with how they handle reviews. Thank you...

I was here a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend. I’m pregnant and had a last minute craving of gelato and found this close by. Ugh - best decision ever the coconut gelato so creamy and taste authentic. My bf had the gelato with the shot of espresso in it and he still talks about it he’s a big coffee drinker but anyway I am coming back. The people are nice and let me take however long I needed to pick my flavors. The outside seating area was clean and cool to talk and enjoy your ice cream. It’s by the train so alot of cars but still peaceful to look at. I can’t wait to come here with my baby and bring my grandma as I think the owners are...
