I have been here more than several times and the service is always the same whether it’s 5:30 pm, 4:30 pm or 7:30 pm. There is always one person out making sandwiches and the person who is supposed to be at the register is always conveniently gone. At most Potbellies they dont want you standing in line to order a milkshake. I had to because again conveniently there was no one to order from at the cash register. So I waited till the two girls in front of me had their sandwiches and ask for a milkshake from the sandwich person then lo and behold the register person emerged with just enough time to wait around for the first sandwich to emerge from the oven. I let the sandwhich person know that I would have liked a shake before anyone else appeared to be working. The thing to do in prior circumstances would have been to tell the register person so I could get a milkshake because they don’t want you in the sandwich line e. He did not tell the register guy at all about the milkshake and proceeded to clean and then apparently start an online order which I had been a customer first. After finally waiting for the register person to make both sandwiches I was asked quite curtly asked what I ordered. I said a milkshake and said I had to stand in line. Which I promptly was told that how it works. I’m sorry how it works is if you’re ordering a sandwich you get in the sandwich line for a milkshake that apparently only the cash register person makes then with that logic and timing I should have been first this whole time. Then was told to order it in the app. This Potbelly is...
Read moreI stopped by this Potbelly’s location for the first time tonight, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. My first sandwich was completely burnt—both the bread and the meat—and when I pointed it out, the staff insisted three times that “it’s just cooked,” despite the visible black char on it. While I understand that burning sandwiches has been an issue across Potbelly’s ever since they introduced the XL sandwich size about five years ago, I’m not okay with being gaslit and seeing no effort to prevent the sandwich from burning further.
To make matters worse, the staff asked for my order at least four times, rang up the receipt incorrectly three times, and gave me the wrong price multiple times. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the cookie I bought was at least three days old—rock hard and inedible, so I had to throw it away.
As someone who’s been a loyal Potbelly’s customer for over 20 years, it’s sad to see how far the quality has declined. I hope they can turn things around because the experience tonight was far from what I expect from a place I...
Read moreThis place is horrible! Unfortunately my experience at this Potbelly was very unpleasant and disgusting. That day I had ordered a pizza melt with no mushrooms. I had my order to go and when I took a bite I noticed that it had mushrooms. I was like ok no big deal I'll just take them off but then I ended up removing a lot of mushrooms and its as if the mushrooms made up 60% of the sandwich. It wasn't even the regular amount, then I started to get angry and to make things worst the mushrooms were rotting the had a foul smell to them. If you like rotting food then this is the...
