I have always been into woodsy fragrances and visited their showroom (smellroom?) for he first time where a very nice young woman introduced me to Oud fragrances (there are a lot!) and let me sample many different scents. (There are a lot of different styles here btw like spicy, floral, etc.) I think she was covering for the official salesperson but was incredibly sweet and made up in customer service (great listening skills, took her time, etc.) for any lack of knowledge. I was also able to chat with a long-time customer who educated me on some of the fascinating incense the store had too. After narrowing down to 5 fragrances, and sampling them on my skin (Very Important!) a new salesperson took over. They were very informed about all of the brands but a bit too business like and wouldnât stop offering new samples even after I said to stop a few times. (May I suggest giving your customer a reason to come back? lol) I walked out with one of the 5 I tried but honestly I could have taken any one of them. Iâll definitely be returning for more and highly recommended trying out in person if you can. Also be aware that there is no actual storefront. This little gem of a boutique is tucked away in a shabby office building. I only took a star away for the business like customer service style after dismissing the first person, would have been nice if she stayed even just to learn more (add more warmth to the style, like your fragrances, and it will be wonderful!) and the space. I think theyâve probably done as best as they can (nicely lit, nice displays) setting up in what was a small office or storage room but needs better airflow, a bit stuffy. Seriously, they deserve to have a beautiful boutique storefront to show off their amazing products or at least a way to let in more natural...
Read moreI went today and had a very great experience. A lot of fragrance and the worker was very helpful.
Ended up buying 8 fragrances. Out of the 8. One of them had no box and the other had no plastic film. For example one of them was brought in a velvet bag. I asked âwhereâs the box?â They didnât have the box, I didnât question as I was at the store for 1.5hrs and needed to leave. Then they grabbed the box from the display case and gave it to me. She gave me a small discount for the inconvenience which was nice but I still paid a bit over the retail price.
At the time I didnât think any of it just because how trust worthy they seemed but once coming back home. I opened the one that came with no box originally and it was leaking. With further inspection, I saw that the plastic cover that holds the atomizer/ sprayer was lose. Could there be a possibility of the juice being tampered with?
Since this was a blind buy, I cannot confirm if this is the original formula or a tampered one. I donât want that to be the fact but Iâm disappointed that when I came back home, thereâs about 20ish sprays that may have leaked. The bottle is not full. Iâm able to move the cover with my hands. As seen in the picture you can see the lid doesnât sit centered.
For now, I wonât be giving it as a present nor will use it until we can come to a middle ground. I promise I will no use it and itâll be in the box for the meantime.
Other than that, I do recommend coming and taking a look!! A lot to choose from. Wish I couldâve...
Read moreI legitimately cannot recommend this placeâand April, the proprietorâhighly enough. I went in a few weeks ago looking for something oud-y to fill the gap left by a discontinued favorite fragrance, and promptly proceeded to have the best customer service experience I've ever had in my entire life, hands down. April spent almost an hour helping me exploreâbringing me different fragrances, talking to me about the various scents, making comparisons; honestly it was an absolute delight and I had a wonderful time; I couldn't even call it shopping, it felt more like just hanging out with a friend who happens to be a stone cold pro aroma expert, and completely nerding out on scents. I mean, how often do you walk out of a store with not only a bag of goods but also a new fond memory and a deeply satisfied smile because you so fully enjoyed yourself? That's right, almost never. But it happened here.
OH! I almost forgot the best part: as I was checking out, I had taken up SO much of April's time, and she had been SO preposterously helpful, that I tried to give her a tipâfirst I asked her to add a surcharge to the bill for her time, but she refused; then I just pulled out some cash and tried to give it to her, but she again refused, even though I insisted. She wouldn't budge, saying simply: "This is our job, it's why we're here."
So: expertise, generosity, integrityâall at the highest levels. 5 stars isn't...
