My husband and I decided to drive into Chicago from Wisconsin for the weekend. We wanted to stay at a Lincoln Ave. motel. River Park Motel looked the most inviting, and we were right on. We had a King room on the second floor for $60 per night. It was clean and basic - pretty much what we expected. There was free wifi, but we didn't use it. We went to Chicago for Christmas shopping and some sightseeing downtown. It was about a 15 minute drive down Lake Shore to Michigan Ave. The front desk guy was kind enough to give us directions. Read moreManager is very disrespectful, after I told him about issues in room #118. Power outlets in the wall were bad, no A/C, and a broken toilet... he had the nerve to get an attitude with me for telling him about these issues.. SMH.. some people just don't want to take responsibility and be held accountable... I mean it's your property, your supposed to be happy someone is telling you about issues on your property so you can get it fixed as soon as possible for the next customer... rooms are kind of run down as well.... definitely don't recommend anyone staying...
Read moreWould have put a three on there, however who they rent to is not under their control at times. Everybody has problems. However, what makes it amazing is the cleaning staff. So polite doing an amazing job. So many people take them for granted. Not knowing that a clean room makes a big difference, somebody has to do the dirty work and these people do it with no problem. Humble and kind and so respectful and helpful. They're taking three stars to the five for the reviews...
