Huntington Bank — Local services in Jefferson Township

Worst banking experience so far, it was for a new bank account that I made a visit to this branch at Peterson, solely because of its proximity to my place. The reception staff was polite and good, while the manager and other who are South Asians, they guy named fatemi and his manager are not at all helpful and stubborn.I was asked to get my personal student documents to open a bank account and was asking me about how I got my driver's license, I mean that's not your business dude, while on the call a day prior the lady confirmed, passport and state iD is all they need, they say there are been frauds with their bank and so they refused to open my bank account, same day I made a visit to a different branch at Clark and they issued me a new bank account in less than two minutes, I told them about my previous experience at Peterson branch and they were shocked to hear that and confirmed they don't need my personal student info for opening a general bank account.

I would never recommend this branch, solely because of the south asian staff, better go for their branch at Clark Street or Broadway, the staff there is very much understanding and helpful l, at least better than the one...

Literally the slowest bank in Chicago. One person working while the other two people there wanted to loudly gossip about customers. You have a lobby full of people. HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO BE THIS BAD AT YOUR JOBS AND STILL HAVE THEM.

First the system is down, even though I can hear the bank teller at the desk loudly talking about how they're processing someone else's deposit. Then the ATM in the vestibule won't count any amount of money. I tried everything from a dollar up to the 40 bills that can be loaded at once. It just kept giving error messages. From there it was another 25 minutes of standing in the lobby after the system magically came back up right before the other two employees hiding in the back were able to make their escape.

Customer service promised Tuesday will credit, again call again promised Wednesday will credit account , till Thursday not credit my account. my salary.
