No matter how tasty the food is, a customer leaves a review for the entire experience. We drove 50 miles to try this restaurant after watching some good reviews on Youtube. As first-timers, we tried Lamb Broth, Zurbian, Mandi, Chops & Adeni Tea with Milk. Broth, Mandi & Adeni were the best, 5 stars. I highly recommend these three to all first-timers. Zurbian tasted like 'Indian Biriyani gone wrong' (disclaimer: my taste buds are inherently biased to Hyderabadi Biriyani) but then after 10 minutes into the dish the waitress got us a sauce/salsa type thing [Onion, Tomato, Garlic is what it tasked like]. The sauce was a game changer, I started liking Zurbian. The Rice that comes with Mandi was very flavorful and the meat very tender. Lamb chops were ordinary. Now to the not so good things: Accuracy: The waitress got several things wrong; biggest one being, ordered a couple of Lamb Broth's only to find Chicken Soup with veggies when opened at home. Disappointed. Atmosphere: I don't have a problem with a casual atmosphere but depending on the customer an effort was made to make it look more fine or formal, leaving us in confusion. Attention: The waitress simply did not have enough time to pay attention to us and our asks. I don't blame her. She was managing the entire restaurant between 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM on a weekday by herself. At one point she just removed my plate assuming I was done. Also, don't forget the sauce coming after 10 minutes into the dish.

I recently visited Shibam Restaurant and I must say I was quite disappointed with my experience. One major issue I encountered was the sudden doubling of prices. Last time visited my bill was $16 now all sudden it was 31.00 It was disheartening to see the prices of the menu items increase significantly without any prior notice. This made me question the integrity of the establishment and left a sour taste in my mouth. Another aspect that bothered me was the Bridgeview's 10% charge. While I understand that businesses need to cover their expenses, it felt excessive and unnecessary. It would have been more reasonable to include this charge in the overall price instead of surprising customers with an additional fee. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find out that there was no cash adjustment option. In this modern age, many people prefer to use digital payment methods, but there are still those who rely on cash. Not having the option to adjust the bill with cash was inconvenient and limited my payment choices. Despite these issues, I must mention that the food at Shibam Restaurant was delicious and the service was satisfactory. However, the aforementioned concerns significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope that the management takes these issues into consideration and works towards providing a more transparent and customer-friendly environment.

I recently dined at Shibam ,and overall, I must say the Zurbian was quite delicious. The texture was perfect, and it had a rich aroma that made my mouth water. However, I was disappointed by the excessive spiciness that overwhelmed the dish. It's important to note that I enjoy a bit of spice, but this was just too much for me The flavors were intense and fiery, making it difficult to fully appreciate the other ingredients in the rice. I believe it would greatly benefit the restaurant to offer a degree of flavor or spice level option for their dishes. This way, customers can choose the level of spiciness that suits their preferences. I understand that taste is subjective, and some people might enjoy the heat, but providing customizable options would cater to a wider range of palates. It's always a pleasure to have the freedom to tailor a dish to our personal preferences. I hope that the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and considers offering a degree of flavor or spice level option. This would greatly enhance the dining experience and ensure that every customer can enjoy their meal to the fullest.

THE CASHIER USED A FOUL LANGUAGE ABOUT ANOTHER CUSTOMER INFRONT OF US. NEVER TAKE FAMILY AND KIDS TO THIS PLACE.

This is a message to the manager of this place.

I dont know the name of the cashier. I have a picture of him. Please provide the contact details of the manager as a reply to this comment I will provide more details.

We were here at this restaurant on monday 08/22/2022 evening . We came at around 8.39 pm and left at 9.34 pm. When we were about to pay the bill before we leave (approx.9.32 pm), the family who was sitting at another table called this associate(cashier/server) at the register and i heard them very politely complaining of the meat they got was just fat and no meat to eat(we had same problem too). The way this guy was talking back to the family was so disrespectful. The family was politely talking and this guy was telling them the management changed and this is how they make it now and dont eat it if you dont want. He was so loud to them and then rudely took the plate of food back to kitchen and as we were standing in front of the register I saw through the kitchen door that he slammed the plate onto the kitchen table very angrily (half of the food from the plate fell out). Then while on the way back to us to check out I clearly heard him saying the word "m@$#r f**. This is a very disrespectful and foul behaviour. Unfortunately there were kids and ladies sitting at the tables and these kind of behavior is so unacceptable.

Plus we asked for mayonaise or garlic sauce for our food and was told that the new management dont give any of those. Previously the oldermanagement used to give garlic sauce or mayonnaise with kabsa and the food was nice too. The food quality deteriorated now and the staff attitude is so disrespectful. I dont think this place is appropriate to go with families.

I feel so sorry for the other family.

We will never come back...
