Subway — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Subway at 3346 W. Foster is a better than average example of this franchise fast food business. The immigrant owners and staff are friendly and polite, and they understand most dialects of Midwestern American English. They make good sandwiches and don't try to skimp on ingredients. Their parking lot accommodates nine vehicles (one handicapped) and the snack shop has a double door to keep out winter winds. Regular customers are cab drivers from the Shell station & carwash across Foster and students from Von Steuben high school. The students are harmless but occasionally noisey. If you're allergic to adolescents, stay away between 2 and 4 PM weekdays. Why only four stars? If they had Lipton tea and lemon juice packets, I would give them five. Otherwise they have everything you could reasonably expect...

The food looked wilted, and old...

I suggest not going there before closing. I arrived there at about 8:40 p.m., (Wednesday October 6th). The customers in front of me seemed upset with their food order.

After receiving my order, I completely under stand why they were upset. The employee who waited on me was rude, and a bit aggressive. Especially, when I asked him for extra toppings such as shredded cheese.

I also noticed he was using his gloves to protect himself rather than, his customers from bacteria, and other nasties... He did take them off to handle money but then put the same pair back on to handle food, and etc.

I'm looking forward to reading reviews from people have had lunch at...

Meatball sub which I took home. I thought it was odd it was only a little warm when I bit into it, but I figured it had something to do with how cold it was outside and the time between the restaurant and home.

Just a couple hours later, I've got chills, shaky, feverish, headache, lightheaded. No appetite whatsoever, nausea coming and going. Guessing the meatballs were sitting out unheated or poorly heated and since I didn't ask for it toasted, they came home at little better than room temperature. Or maybe they left them out to thaw at room temperature like a recent health...
