Taqueria El Kacheton Chicago — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

This was my first time trying this restaurant and let me tell you I will never return. I ordered the “El Kacheton” breakfast which consists of hotdogs, ham, toasted bread, chicken breast & Mexican style eggs. I also ordered a steak taco and rice. I sat outside on their patio and was left sitting there with my incorrect order for 15 + minutes until I called the restaurant for my waitress to come outside. She tried to argue with me about the fact that I specifically asked for no onions in my eggs. On top of that she told me after she dropped the food off if I needed something I should’ve walked inside to ask for it. A good waitress checks on her tables. We were looking for a place which would come to your home with their outdoor grill and cook for our guests. Although there are many, all require a minimum of 50 guest and the cost is huge. My husband would always pick up tacos from Taqueria El Kacheton, he suggested we ask them if they cater for a small gathering. Luckily they said yes. Small restaurant with capacity of around 15. Fabulous food. I got the best chips and salsa ever as soon as I sat down. The salsa was warm. Had vegetarian tacos and gorditas, both were amazing. To be honest, the vegetarian options are limited, but whatever I had was great. Better to pay you bill with cash, they have a $2.50 surcharge for credit card payments.
