I started coming here bc of the competitive prices. But now I have to question weather the prices are worth the lack of sanitation.
The lack of proper sanitation training is really appalling. The deli counter, Ive seen the very short woman leaving her shift and scrape at her scalp in the deli section. They don't change gloves between deli products. They often use the slicer with deli juice product all over their hands then touch the weight machine, then grab the deli code cheat sheet (why it's not taped up so that dirty hands don't have to keep touching it is beyond me) then hand product to me. Many times it's slimey. Then they grab the next product without changing gloves. Then stick those same dirty gloves used for pork product and dig them into the panella cheese to grab it. They don't seem to separate slicers between pork products and cheese products.
I've purchased meat, but it turns really fast and best if you're using it right away. A few times they have sold bad deli meat, and will exchange it if you have a receipt. But then they tell me it's my responsibility to check the meat before I leave the store. They'll chop watermelon 🍉 into qtrs but completely over charge if you're not paying attention. Their back kitchen appeared to be very sanitary, but I found the seasoning to be bland. The roasted chicken being left inside the warmer without plastic is my favorite. I love that just typing your phone number allows points to accrue and redeem at...
Read moreI have this thing, were I like to go to different types of groceries stores and get different foods, so since I never been to a fresh market, and it is located around the corner from a family member, I said what the heck. Now I will say this, they have a amazing produce selection. Way neater, then jewel or marianos. The quality was great as well. My problem was this, I approached the meat counter, it had maybe six or seven customers waiting to get attended to. I grabbed a number, and I stepped back, because it is just right! As I'm standing there, the numbers were not being called, the guys behind the counter were just picking and choosing who to serve first, so I waited. I really just wanted to see how longing would take for them to pick me. So about 10 mins go by, and the crowd is smaller, the guy calls some one who got there after me, so I approach the counter, and I say, excuse me sir I was next, he said Huh? I'm next, I have been standing here 10 mins, I would like to get going... this is when I find out he doesn't understand me... so I say manager please? He says , I'm manager..
I go look for some one else to help me, and no one..NOT NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH!!! ok...
I understand I went to a Spanish grocery store. BUT NO ONE COULD UNDERSTAND ME TO EVEN HELP ME SPEND MY MONEY AT THEIR ESTABLISHMENT.. IM so sorry for the caps, but I just don't recommend it, unless...
Read moreI have been patronizing this Fresh Market store for over a decade. Lately the quality of the produce has been lacking, but I still like their meat selections, which is why I keep coming. The butchers are so kind and helpful. No complaints in that department. The butchers have constantly been providing me with excellent customer service for over a decade. My main complaint is the cashiers, one by the name of Mayra (name on receipt). I wasn’t greeted, I wasn’t thanked, I wasn’t even asked if I needed my groceries bagged. I brought my own bags, but since she had no interaction with me, she went ahead and charged me for the plastic bag tax. No big deal it’s a few cents, but it’s the overall attitude that bothered me. I didn’t feel welcomed or that my business was appreciated. A simple “thank you” or a greeting goes a long way. She was too busy gossiping with a fellow...
