Xurro — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

So, I walk in with 2 children, 2 young ladies behind the counter. 1 appears to be assisting a customer the other is counting change. They just kind of look at me and whisper to each other, look at me and whisper. One by one they disappear, one by one they return obviously laughing at something secretive. Whatever. I place my order. I ask what's on the mangonada because my 7year old likes the pretty picture would like to try it. The girl smirks like I'm stupid for not knowing. Shrugs and gives me a half answer "hot sauce.". Um.... Thanks? We get our sweets and sit down. All 4 of their tables are disgusting. Not only cheap but need a deep cleaning. The table legs are covered in sticky fingerprints. The walls smeared with ick. The chairs- falling apart and did I say filthy? The ceiling is sagging. Their homemade signs dirty and poorly written- poorly written is forgivable but why so many signs? N why filthy? Peeling paint. Floor disgusting. The trash receptacle smeared with lord knows what and over flowing. Sweets were good. Service was horrendous. The place needs some TLC. Hell, I'll even volunteer to help paint n clean. A little mom n pop shop will always receive my patronage before a large business- but damn. A few Clorox wipes n a smile would...

Never in a million years would I have found this place if it wasn't for living social. I got a gift certificate which was 10 for $20 and man did I get a lot of food. I probably should have come with 10 people with all that I got but I had to settle on just one other person to eat the deliciousness. We got a dozen churros which were plain, chocolate, vanilla, and nutella, 2 mini churros, and a huge funnel cake. I almost had to be rolled out of there. The shop is kinda hard to find and out of the way from downtown chicago but it was totally worth it. It is right across the street from a school so I think they are probably a hit with the high school crowd. Everything was soo cheap it was insane. Normally you go to a carnival and its like 5 dollars for a churro. Well we got 12 churros for dollars....crazy. WE...

Worst experience ever, unprofessional team. First time I ordered .i requested Dozen Churros vanilla and chocolate,I got vanilla and strawberry. Called the chop to complain they directly put me on hold for 5min ,hang out call again the person I spoke to was not professional at all I told them my order was wrong and I’m allergic to strawberry,he said I can’t do anything you can come the next day to take the chocolate or talk to my manager who is not there .what customer service is that. My order end up in the trash . First and last time I’m ordering there They don’t deserve the one star .i have to put it to put a review. Need more professionalism and good team . I won’t complain about the churros if they are good or not cause I didn’t taste them ,I don’t want to end up either anaphylactic reaction form...
