It takes a lot to write a review, a bad one at that. So before I start, let’s grab our calculators. Here we go. This morning, my mother and I went to buy 2 medium peppermint teas. They’re medium cups equivalent to 16 ounces. Their small cups equivalent to 12 ounces. Their large cups equivalent to 20 ounces. I hope I didn’t lose anyone yet. Remember, I said we got 2 medium teas which totals to 32 ounces of hot water and two tea bags. On their menu board there is only a price for a small tea purchase for $1.89. While the purchase was going on I didn’t hear the total amount, cards were swiped and a tip was given in the tip jar. We then moved to the side and waited for out 2 medium teas. When we got the tea, the cashier told us she had our receipt. So my mother took the receipt and was examining it for a while. Then we realized we were charged for 4 small teas! Remember in the begin we asked for 2 medium teas which equivalents to 32 ounces? We were charged for 4 small teas which equivalents to 48 ounces of hot water and 4 tea bags. If there isn’t a price for a medium and large tea tell ME that I need to purchase 4 small teas as opposed to charging ME more for less. Where is the rest of my money? OR Where is the rest of my tea?
Ps. We went back to the cashier so she could explain her reasoning. She said they double charge because there’s no price for a medium.
What do you expect me to do with that logic? It does not...
Read moreThe donuts were so good when they first opened but now they are dry and terrible. I used to get them for my office all the time; now, people ask me to NOT bring "those" donuts. Even my children think they're too dry and gross. The donuts became more and more dry. Someone just brought one to me at the office and it was sooo bad that couldn't eat it & stopped working to write this review. I am hoping they will correct the problem. I am sad! I love supporting local businesses & I love donuts but I just can't anymore. Please do a quality check through out the day or something.
UPDATE: I was pleasantly surprised when the owners contacted me directly to get detailed information so they could make improvements. They had noticed some of the same issues and were working on correcting the problem. My detailed information helped them to verify what they had suspected. I was made to feel like I was part of the solution and that they valued my honest review ( & not just an angry reviewer or something). Every time I go there the owners and staff and SUPER friendly and accommodating. This morning I picked up a dozen donuts for work and they were a hit again!!! THANK YOU, DIESEL DONUTS! We're definitely glad you're a part of our...
Read moreWe’ve been coming to Diesel Donuts for the past couple years ever since we moved to Jackson County. I brought my son multiple times weekly in the mornings when I was a stay at home mom, it was one of our weekly outings together. Their donuts always taste amazing with lots of flavors to choose from. The service is good, but there’s rarely a greeting from behind the counter when you walk in or the worker always looks frantic/too busy to see who came in. Today however was disappointing as we came in around 1 with all of our kids ready for some donuts & they were out. This is the third time in a row in the past 2 months that when we got here at 1 or before, they were out of donuts. I get that they close at 2:30 and 1 is only an hour and a half before close, but if your giant sign says Donuts & Coffee and those are your main 2 items, you should not run out of donuts that far away from closing. Multiple customers have walked in and walked right out while we were drinking our drinks outside due to them not having anymore donuts. We will continue to visit, as we truly love this small town bakery, but running out of your main course hours before close is very disappointing and not a good way to run your...
