El Jalapeno — Restaurant in Jefferson

Stopped in while passing through town. Sure glad I did. Their quesabirria tacos were something to write home about. The beef was so juicy and flavorful. The tortillas fried to perfection. Now I love cheese and there was plenty in these. Don’t forget about the beans and rice. At most places they’re just bland from a can. These beans had some serious flavor. Just the right amount of salt.

I happened to stop in at an odd time and the owner was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be eating there again.

I also want to add that I was shocked by some of the negative reviews on here. Those reviews seemed awfully suspicious. I imagine they were coming from a competitor or something because they did not reflect my dining...

The customer service was amazing, they were sweet and very social. However, our order was not complete or made the way we had asked. I wanted a chicken soup, with no avocado (as I’m allergic), we open the soup when we get home and it’s full of avocado. Then we got tortilla chips, but not our salsa. I was so stoked from all the great reviews, but I have to say, I’m unimpressed and actually very disappointed. We specifically told them I’m allergic and it was still in the soup. I want my money back, and word of advice, CHECK ALL YOUR FOOD BEFORE...

I stopped in to grab a quick bite to go. The staff was super friendly and helped with the selection of food. I ended up getting Esquite and Quesabirrias. The Esquire was some if not the best I have ever had. The portion was large and the corn and toppings were great. The Quesabirrias....man had I known that this was around any sooner, I would have had a much happier life. The meat was tender, the cheese was the right amount of gooeyness. Just overall, an explosion of flavor. 10 out of 10 on all of this. Definitely will be going back...
