Waffle House — Restaurant in Jefferson

The food was adequate as well as the waitress until we went up to pay and it was $54 because our waitress one of one of us got an egg hash browns and toast the hash browns was supposed to have mushrooms which we got about 5 minutes after everybody's food have been served including my daughter-in-law's my grandson I ordered two eggs toast hash browns $7.10 we got those my granddaughter who is only 12 ordered two ham and cheese sandwiches but she didn't order hash browns wasn't told that she should she just order two hash browns my son ordered a steak medium and eggs well done the steak was done other than the eggs anyway for this Bond dinner we paid $54 because of waitress did not share the information with us that since my granddaughter did not order hash browns she doesn't have to pay for 50 for the sandwich instead of 3 or 350 she did not tell my daughter-in-law that she was paying individual prices for an egg and Order of bacon hash browns with mushrooms that came 15 minutes later my son he's a very nice man did not question the bill when he paid it however after I found out I went back as I told the waitress she could have explained she work there she said what I do what I'm told and I said well you are the expert here we're not you could have said hey if she doesn't order hash browns you don't have to pay $2 more per sandwich my daughter-in-law who ordered an egg hash browns and bacon that's a plate but she didn't charge her full plate she charge her for individual items this is totally a rip-off and where I was at the make sure everybody knows is the Waffle House at 4915 US Highway 129 North Jefferson Georgia I just wish that I live near here where I could boycott it I am so just amazed I have never had an issue with a waffle house before but I ask for the manager and they said they didn't have one obviously they don't however I'm going to continue to follow this through and I hope everybody just be careful when you go to this Waffle House cuz they will rip you off like I said $54 so basically let me count this up three orders of bacon 1 2 3 4 5 6 6 7 x got some high-priced chickens...

I'm having a mixed review on this. When we first walked in it was your normal atmosphere. Our waitress proceeded to take our order but when we got the drinks, she seemed to have an attitude. Idk if she dropped them on the table or just slammed them down. So then she takes our order and I said I wanted grits with cheese and ham. She then asks with a disgusted look on her face "in your grits?" I corrected my order bc I meant hashbrowns but still if a customer wants that then dont act disgusted. Read it back to be sure! We then get our ticket which she threw onto the table. As were eating she returns to put the sugar jar back on the table. Guess what, it was slammed/thrown down. We were never offered a menu so my husband had to get up and find one at the next table. She never actually asked how we were enjoying our meal. Nothing. Not to mention my food was over cooked and my husbands food was undercooked. 🤷‍♀️ The other staff was nice and caring but this was not at all. Her name was Karen I believe. Great people! They were super kind and helpful to me when a stranger called the police on me for driving up the highway! (Some crazy woman cut me off, and since I was going in the same direction as her, she said I was following her, but I was not I was just going home north like she was.) And then the cops came and they were acting like I did something wrong! They treated me like a criminal and accused me of lying about where I lived. The detective told me that raising your hands in a I give up whatever type motion is actually considered aggressive driving, and that he could arrest me for it. Anyway, all the people in Waffle House were super supportive and very nice and knew about the specific officers in Jefferson, and were able to help me figure out the best way to keep myself safe in this situation. I will be grateful to them forever, because as a new resident of Jackson County this was a terrifying experience. So I highly recommend this Waffle House but I do not recommend this police force. Or being on the highway behind someone in an Acura suv who has a cross hanging from their rearview mirror, that person will definitely definitely try...
