I am from the Greenup, Ashland area, where Giovanni’s is extremely popular. Having lived in Louisville for the past five years, I have been a regular at the Shelbyville, KY location since its opening. I must say, that location is FANTASTIC ALL AROUND. Tonight, I placed an order at the Jeffersontown location. We opted for the five-meat and a pound of traditional wings with sweet chili sauce. The wings tasted more like honey and butter. Gross. Far from sweet chili. I found it overpriced at almost $13 for only 9 wings. PLUS they do not even trim skin it was still soft and chewy . They should’ve at least let them get little brown/crispy. Additionally, I requested a quart-sized container of the house-made red dressing, but the lady informed me that it was not available at this location. I stated the one in Shelbyville sales it at that location, where I can purchase a quart-sized container for approximately $6 lOverall, it is a good establishment. However, to be a franchise it should be all be ran the same. I don’t recommend eating the Buffet at night as I was waiting for my order around 8 everything looked dry from the pasta noodles and pizza. However, I am sure during the day it may be a...
Read moreI took my two teenage sons Sunday, 10/19/25 around 4:30 pm. The pizza looked like it had been sitting all day. There was mainly veggie pizza 's not much of a variety. The pizza didn't taste much better. We had been at Malibu Jack's for a birthday party and their pizza was better than the pizza that was offered on the buffet. The best part of the buffet was the drinks. I had to ask for Pepperoni pizza as one of my son's is autistic and only likes pepperoni pizza and they made 1. There weren't many people there, but while we were there they put out 2 fresh pizza's which were cheese pizza's. The plates that were put out for the buffet were wet and covered in soap suds. I had to go up and complain and other people did as well about the soapy plates. We didn't even hardly eat and I went and complained about the terrible experience and they did nothing. We left and went across the street to Bearno's. Should have went there in the first place. Spent $47.95 for...
Read moreI ordered two 16" carryout pizzas, a deluxe with regular crust and vegetarian with thin crust. The pizza was very average and uninspired. Nothing special about the crust, cheese or sauce. You can dump all the toppings on top you want but if the three basic components are the same as everyone else's, why bother? The boneless wings were ok but again, nothing anyone else isn't doing and the onion rings were lightly coated and ok, but not crunchy. I didn't have very high expectations so I guess my expectations were met. If you like a pizza buffet feeding trough, this place might be for you if you prefer quantity over quantity. It's too bad because I hoped this new place would be doing some sort of artisan pie, but alas, they decided to go cheap and easy. But hey, in J-Town, this just might work. Good luck, but I seriously doubt this place will go...
