I get it. Right now staffing is hard. Tonight (April 8th 2022) I pulled up at 7:55 PM, keep in mind it's a Friday night, and I went to the door only to find it being locked with 2 customers inside who seemingly just got their food. Google says they close at 10PM, their sign says they close at 9PM. I figured maybe they were just low on staff or something and had to close early. I go back to my car, look on my phone to try to find somewhere else to get food. A few minutes later both the employees, a man and a woman, exit their car and go back inside to their unattended store where they left their customers alone inside. The man unlocks the door, let's the woman in, turns around, and proceeds to lock the door and start putting chairs up without wiping down the tables.
For the owner: I used to manage a fast food chain, I understand that it can be rough, and finding the right people is hard. These people need to be let go, and you need to do better at finding the right people for the job.
For the manager: This clearly is a comfortable thing for these 2, and clearly you are not taking your job seriously. If you let them walk all over you, they will get people sick and treat people poorly. Not a good look on Home Run at all.
For fellow customers: avoid this chain at all costs until something changes because I can guarantee you they are not exercising food safety if they can't even exercise the decency to do adequately at their...
Read moreAs a Five Guys fan from Louisville, I really want to like this place every time I try it. Sadly, every time I try it my burger comes out wrong.
Let's start off with the good things. The beef is delicious. It's juicy and flavorful, hands down the best pattie in the city.
Now on to the negatives. Most recently I went in and ordered a double bacon burger with sauteed onion's, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and jalapenos.
Oddly, the bacon, ketchup, and mustard never made it onto the burger even though it was on the ticket. As a burger guy, I still gave it a chance. It was a great burger - cooked well and.... Well, it was okay. I think it could have been great had it come out correctly.
Onto the next subject. The fries. They're just okay. I ordered the Cajun fries and felt really unimpressed. They needed more love. There was almost no seasoning on them. The crunch was good though.
It was a good burger, but it's not the first time I've gone and it's come out incorrect. Five Guys nails it every time, down to a tee. The fries are always perfect too. If Home Run could get what I asked for on my burger, I think they're win. Until that time, I'll take...
Read moreNot a homerun. Place was clean, staff was pleasant but food was not good.
I've had better food at burger king and white castle.
The burger I received didn't look anything like the photo, it was a soggy mess. I mean with a bun that was falling apart it was so soggy. Also ordered cheese fries, which were also a soggy greasy mess. I dislike fries which are not crispy, so maybe that's my problem. These fries were not crispy at all, they were a complete ball of goo.
Price was ok- but not great for food which would be served better at steak&shake. Decided to try it, ok done but will not be back. Worst upper class type burger place I've ever been, seriously.
I know that sounds harsh, but it was a first visit and homerun served food which must have been run through a wet greasey dugout. Nothing special about these burgers unless you count extra soggy as a topping. Never had food this bad served at any other burger place. Took a chance, waste of $9
For the owner- location was shelbyville road shopping center-...
