I recently had the misfortune of dining at a place that left me with an overwhelmingly negative impression. From the food to the atmosphere and service, my experience was far from satisfactory. It's disheartening to share this review, but I believe it's important to convey my honest observations.
Let's start with the food. I had high hopes for a delightful culinary experience, but unfortunately, my expectations were shattered. The dishes I ordered were a far cry from what I had anticipated. The flavors were lackluster, the presentation was uninspiring, and the overall quality left much to be desired. It seemed as though the kitchen had a blatant disregard for taste and presentation, which is quite a letdown for any food enthusiast.
The atmosphere of the place did nothing to alleviate the disappointment. The ambiance was as lackluster as the food itself. The interior was drab, the lighting was harsh, and the overall decor left me feeling like I was in a dated and uninspired establishment. It's safe to say that there was no effort put into creating a pleasant dining environment.
Now, let's talk about the service, which was perhaps the most disheartening part of my visit. The workers at this place displayed an astonishing level of rudeness and neglect toward the delivery drivers, particularly those from Uber Eats, GrubHub, and DoorDash. It was disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism. Instead of greeting and treating these hardworking individuals with respect, they were met with disdain and impatience. It's essential to remember that these drivers play a crucial role in the success of many restaurants nowadays, and they deserve to be treated with kindness and courtesy.
In summary, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The subpar food, uninspiring atmosphere, and appalling treatment of delivery drivers all contribute to a disappointing dining experience. It is my hope that this establishment recognizes the need for improvement, both in the quality of their offerings and in their treatment of the individuals who help bring their food to customers. That is how I found the Gusto Latino Restaurant. I used the app to order an end of day mystery package for $ 3.99. At the appointed time I made my way to Gusto Latino for my reduced cost take out meal. What I received was a delicious rice and beans, and bake chicken leg plate. The food was delicious and the amount was enough for 2 meals. The plate normally cost $ 11 dollars. So I got a good meal at less then half its normal cost. However, pork mofongo was painfully salty. I think mofongo itself was very well executed with garlic flavor in its mashed plaintain, but the pork meat mixed inside seemed to be the faulty one for overwhelmingly salty flavor. I don’t think I would be willing to take anything that is pork related from this restaurant, even if it were ever provided to me free.
