Wisp Express — Restaurant in Jersey City

This is a long overdue review for the best sushi spot in Jersey City.  We’ve been visiting Wisp since about the beginning of the pandemic and have been continuing to order since then.  You check out their Instagram to see their daily location and if any specials available.  Ordering is easy, you can call ahead and place your order or walk up to their truck.

Onto the goods.  The sushi is sooo good and to think that it comes from a food truck is even more astonishing.  The quality of the fish and foods is excellent, be on the lookout for their specials such as toro, uni, scallops soooo good.  They are not cheap when it comes to the quality and portion sizes. You can’t go wrong with anything that you order from them.  Bowen and staff are more than friendly.

We have been ordering from Wisp Express since 2020 and I am sorry for not leaving a google review sooner.

Bowen and the team remembered me after only placing one or two orders and it has been true sushi love ever since. Every time we have visitors from out of town or people move to the area we always order or recommend Wisp.

Some of our favorites are the Everest, mango mango, strawberry express, McQueen, and Wisp rolls. They also have one of the best sweet potato rolls I’ve ever had - and I can’t forget about the takoyaki!

If the truck is closed, we simply don’t order from anywhere else. They are the best quality sushi in all of Jersey City and Hoboken - so much that even my kitten tries to steal it from me.

I saw this food truck years ago in Hoboken years ago and completely ignored it because I didn’t think the fish would be fresh.

A year later, a cousin of mine from JC told me how they have been ordering from this sushi truck and its one of the best they have had in a while.

I tried their toro and it was really fresh. No fishy taste at all. Taste was excellent. Whenever I’m around Jersey City, I will stalk their IG to know where they are and to know if they have uni or toro. Staff is very nice and friendly over the phone.
