New La Crawfish Boil — Restaurant in Jersey Village

The place was decent. I ordered the super boil for pick up. The timing was perfect my food was ready upon my arrival & stayed warm on my 10 min drive home. The customer service was excellent the employees were very kind. My 3 star rating however does come down to the food. The special boil consisted of 2 lbs craw fish, 2 lbs shrimp, 2 single potatoes, 2 single pieces of corn and 1 king crab leg, and 1 snow crab. The craw fish were extremely small (i understand that this is technically out of their control. Its the beginning of craw fish season and the bugs wont bite if its too cold out) but i did read all reviews (recent and old) plenty of reviews recommend this location because of the nice size craw fish. The crabs must have sat out for too long because the shell was extremely soggy, i didn't have to bite to crack it i could tear it apart with my fingers. The inside was almost hollow from how much the crab meat was shrivel up & the texture was rough and very dry. I didnt have a chance to try the sausage that comes with the platter, and for $71.98 i felt i could have had much more potatoes and corn. The only thing i truly enjoyed was the decent size shrimp. If you ever happen to pass by this area of town and have a craving for crawfish...you absolutely have to give this place a try. BY FAR, this is one of the best places to make crawfish!! Now, I have to say..lots of people may have different types of taste palates. If you like a lot of flavor, a good kick, and a touch of Asian style flavor, then YES, this is one place you need to check out. I know that some people like their crawfish boil done with just the cajun seasoning boil mix and that's fine..but that's not what you are going to get here. Personally, I think its waaaaaaay better then your typical Louisiana style crawfish boil. If you do decide to give this place a try, this is what I would suggest..at the least. Order the standard garlic butter boil, if you can't handle too spicy or are not sure how spicy is spicy. Also, place an order of the house combo fried rice. Trust me. When you are done eating your crawfish, save the garlic butter sauce that the crawfish was soaking in and just pour it all over your fried rice. This crawfish is amazing! We visited this place twice in one day because it was so good. Her is why I didn’t give this place 5 stars. The service early afternoon was flawless. Our waiter was attentive and took care of everything we needed. In the evening was a different story. We literally just sat waiting for 15 minutes or so. I had to get up and ask someone to come and give us water. After that, we only saw our waiter when he took our initial order. After that he was doing everything except for helping us out. Also, we kept getting pieces of our order and not the whole thing at once. For instance, I’d ordered crawfish and shrimp. They brought my shrimp out about 10 minutes prior to bringing my crawfish. They did the same for the couple that was with us bringing out half of their order so that one was sitting there with food and the other looking around. I do have to say that the place was busy, but they would do well to adjust their staff so that they cans handle those busy nights. The experience with getting the ticket closed out was even worse. Good food, but needs to fix those...
