Great place for a dhaba style Indian food fix. Ambience 4/5 This is a food truck in a strip mall parking lot…so don’t expect much from the ambience. There are 2 picnic style tables in the parking lot. But most patrons order and eat in their car, which I felt, adds to the experience. The parking lot is clean and the food truck kitchen itself is very clean. Service 5/5- This food truck is managed by a Punjabi couple. They bring the old school personal touch to their service. Although they are busy, they are attentive to all their customers and spend time taking the order and explaining and suggesting best options based on your preference. Service was relatively quick, given that it’s a two person operation. Food 5/5- Hands down the best Indian food in H-town and worth the drive from whatever corner of Houston you live in. Everything we ordered was fresh, authentic and flavorful. They will customize spice to your taste. For dessert,we ordered carrot halwa, gulab jamun and were given complimentary rice kheer . They were superb. Every single item we ordered was beyond expectations. Definitely our new favorite place and plan...
Read moreOne of my friends told me about this place .. all great and positive reviews and he was raving about the food and the person who owns (and cooks) !!
I decided to give it a try but by the time we reached the place it was 10 mins to closing time and we had finished an early dinner at home . But curiosity got the better of me . Came for a light snack , ended up ordering Shahi paneer and bullet naan . Planned to take away the remaining curry but was difficult to resist ourselves so went ahead and ordered a garlic naan .
They had closed the kitchen but got us a hot hot garlic naan , heavenly on a windy night ... outdoors !!
This is the first time ever in my whole life the rice served complimentary was cooked to perfection and fluffy !! Definitely going back again !
Thanks to the owners who were very very pleasant and...
Read moreOh my goodness! This places is awesome. Very kind gentleman and his daughter. They were ready to help me pick if I needed assistance, but I knew what I wanted. Got samosas, samosa Chaat, garlic naan, butter naan, navrattan korma, saag paneer, paneer Tikka masala, and baigan bartha. It was all fabulous ( and I'm kinda picky about my Indian food). Super fresh, quick, nice portions and my car smelled so good all the way home. I initially ordered bhindi masala, but the proprietor said it wasn't available because the okra he got wasn't up to his standards. I appreciate that attention to quality and detail. Two of my dining companions are somewhat reluctant Indian food consumers, and they went back for seconds and thirds. Do yourself a favor and try...
