Having a positive experience at a doctor's office is crucial, especially when dealing with health concerns. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Dr. Shobowaleās office was marred by an encounter with a rude receptionist, leading to an overall distressing experience that ultimately resulted in me canceling my appointment.
When I arrived at the office, I was already feeling anxious about my medical condition. The receptionist, however, did not greet me or acknowledge my presence. Her dismissive attitude was apparent from the start, as she continued to focus on her computer screen without even looking up.
After standing at the front desk for a few moments, I noticed the sign-in sheet and began to enter my information. After writing my first and last name, the receptionist finally addressed me, asking if I had filled out the necessary forms. I was taken aback because neither of us had introduced ourselves, so it was unclear how she knew I was the person she had been texting. My appointment was scheduled for 2:20 PM, and I had arrived at 1:30 PM.
I answered her question, and she handed me a clipboard, instructing me to complete the forms. As I was walking away, she abruptly told me that I needed to pay my co-pay immediately. I replied that I would pay after filling out the application, but she insisted that Iād pay before filling out the application with a curt and unfriendly tone, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a patient in need of care.
The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was disheartening. Her demeanor made it clear that she had no interest in assisting me or addressing my concerns. This level of rudeness and indifference is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients are often vulnerable and in need of support.
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable and stressed, I decided that I could not continue with my appointment under such circumstances. I informed the receptionist that I would be canceling my appointment and left the office. The experience was so negative that I would rather not seek treatment for my medical condition than endure such poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, sincerely The BEST. I have longed to make this review... Dr. Sho is beyond one of the most talented and amazing doctors Iāve encountered. Since I was a teen, I had been self-conscious about my toes (hammertoes), I did not think this was ever fixable. I always tried to wear closed shoes because of the appearance of my toes. As I got a little older, the condition seemed to get somehow worse to a point that not even my regular shoe wear felt comfortable. I searched for doctors all over social media , internet, etc. It was not until I came across Dr. Sho, that I finally had hope. I looked at her work and her results just spoke for themselves. Dr. Sho might not be a magician but she definitely has the magic hands! The way she conducted all the procedure, explained and took care to detail through all my process, I could honestly not be happier and blessed. This procedure was very special for me because it was something I had carried on for years⦠This review goes beyond my expectations because not only she is amazing but also her team. Chary, another wow⦠she helped me and took her time with my insurance. My insurance took a while to process but she was always attentive and helping me out and making calls back and forth throughout the whole process, I could not be more grateful. Also, Daniel an excellent nurse, always corresponding and attentive to any questions or concerns. The way they treat their patients is truly admirable, they take their time to explain and give you realistic expectations that makes you feel safe and secure. I could go on and on writing such amazing things about Dr. Sho and her team⦠but I can definitely assure if youāre looking for an orthopedic, do not doubt for a second Dr. Sho is definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would!! I visited my PCP doctor in December 2023 and requested a referral for a podiatrist. The referral was sent to Dr. Shobowale's office and it took a bit of time for them to call me.
They finally call me to state they received the referral and I could schedule an appointment. I schedule the appointment on-line for a Saturday in February. I received confirmation emails and texts confirming the appointment. The day before the appointment I receive a confirmation text. A short time after the text, I receive a call from Alexa with the office to say that my appointment is cancelled because that particular Saturday is not a day they are open. What??? I was livid!!! I explained to her that I don't understand why I was able to schedule the appointment if that was not a Saturday they were open. She had no answer and tried to fast talk to scheduling for a different day.
Against my better judgement, I reschedule for this upcoming Saturday, March 16th. Now I scheduled in February. I received email and text confirmations - Monday and one earlier today. Well guess what? Yep, Alexa just called me to cancel my appointment. Same sloppy, unprofessional, fast talking again!!
At this point, I told her to simply cancel me for good. I don't know how anyone has been able to see this doctor because I can never get in!!! I really wanted to take care of the issues I have (since December 2023) and the only thing they seem to be successful with is cancelling my appointments!!! HORRIBLE impression and I do not...
