I was so excited when we had Kentucky Fried Chicken come back to town. I LOVE fried chicken. Well in the beginning, when they were new and when my orders were screwed up, I let it slide because they were new. But today, I had a real Karen moment. Bruce loves Kentucky Fried Chicken and has had none in 4 1/2 years since he is a resident of Jerseyville Manor. He has had some physical issues that have prevented him from the going out of the facility to eat. He really wanted to go out there himself.Well, today, he requested the nuggets and french fries and I went out there to get him some for lunch. It was such a pretty day and I was in a great mood. Well, Folks, before you leave that place CHECK your order thoroughly! I got to the ECF and checked the bag on my way in. I paid almost $10 for the 10 nugget combo and all that they had given me was 10 nuggets and a soda! It was the last straw. The Manor is at one end of town and KFC on the other. by the time I got back there I was really aggravated. I apologized after for being so upset but this incident was just the final straw. I am curious if it is just me or have others had as many similar incidents as I have, Wrong order, request condiments and receive something else entirely .Ignored by inside staff while standing at the counter etc. This was not an isolated incident, I have noticed that they are not very busy lately.I asked who owned it. Guess it is not someone local. Perhaps someone in charge will take notice if it is discussed on social media. That place is...
Read moreThe chicken came from a midget farm and was cold. We had to ask for everything: napkins, salt, butter, a knife. When employees came in to clock in at 4 p.m. one young lady proceeded to undo her very long hair, bent over and flipped it up again - not in a secluded area - right in the tiny dining area with three chairs at a table. A worker had just finished washing that table. She did this THREE TIMES. The same worker then went in front of cash register counter and did it again - after pulling her hair back three times and putting her cap on. Two other girls in line with less hair were "fixing" theirs too right behind the first register. Then I saw a male worker take his cap off, scratch his head and put his cap back on. Then it was 4 p.m. and one girl was told to clock in. All smiles, she happily clocked in on the same cash register - NOBODY was instructed to fix hair away from customer tables or prep areas. Nor was anyone instructed to stop playing with their hair or to wash their hands before clocking in. This is brand new store and I was very disappointed. The chicken had apparently been cooked for a while because t was hard and not even barely warm. I will go back to Alton next time I want KFC. I don't even cook my own food without...
Read moreThis kfc was really missed by locals as well as the smaller towns nearby. Drive thru was backed up several times, so had to park and go inside. Helpful hint, order ahead of time on the app or website especially if you order for the whole family. Food has been extremely hot, fresh and delicious. I like that kfc has a board on the wall that tells you who (chef) cooked the chicken. Which reminds me of when I was younger, at a local carnival, standing in line to get myself a huge corn dog. Mouth watering as I'm watching 15 other ppl eating theirs, finally I order myself one and noticed the chef had one arm and a little nub. So it intrigued me to watch a little closer and when I saw him place my hotdog under his nub and armpit to put the stick in the dog, my jaw dropped, haven't ate one since. So that's a nice incentive for kfc to put whoever cooks the chicken so that I can check name badges. Kfc finger...
