I had to stop at this Jerk Shack in Jesup. It was such an odd place for this restaurant, but I was interested and hungry. I stopped at another restaurant for food, but they didnāt have what I wanted, so I decided to give Jerk Shack 2 ago. The outside of the building makes you want to see what they have to offer, so I decided to try them.
The service was very fast and nice. I even used the bathroom which was super clean.
I decided to order a few things. I asked for a jerk chicken patty, a small curry chicken plate with a side of plantains. I actually got way more food than I could imagine. They did give my a curry chicken Patty instead of the jerk, but I didnāt mind because the patty was very good in a perfect pastry.
The cur ry chicken was pretty good, but I kind of wish I would have gotten the goat or maybe the oxtail. I usually stay away from red meat, but I think Iāll try the oxtails next time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just started eating at this place about 6 months ago. I tried it for the first time when they had the physical location next to Mcdonalds. The owner was friendly and pleasant every time I went except once. Today, I went to the food truck location and the person at the order here window had her head down, so I tapped on the window to get her attention ā she looked up at me and then looked away as if I wasnāt standing there, never opening the window to take my order.. so I left. If Iām not mistaken she is the same one who walked around in the physical location looking annoyed as if she hates her job. I wonāt be back! People have options on where to spend their money, customer service should always be a top priority especially in this current economy! Hopefully she gets...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI haven't been inside the restaurant yet. "5" definitely for the food. Big helpings on large orders and prices are less than McDs. We ordered the Lg size goat and jerk chicken plates with steamed cabbage/carrots, rice with beans, plantains and generous portion of meat. The bill was around 26. The last time I ate a McDs, burger, fries and drink 8.00. The Jerk Shack gave us enough food to feed 6 people by McDs portion standards. We were quite satisfied and had leftovers for another round...and we did!! Food is very well seasoned, doesn't taste canned or frozen. This taste was unlike general Georgia cuisine and yet it would work well at a cookout!! Don't know if they cater but I will definitely be asking...
