For the Love of God Check Your Order I got there at 5:40am 11/9/2024, parking in the train station parking lot near the Sugar n’ Spice Bake Shop. I was nervous & anxious (normal Gen Zer) because I have not been here in a long time. The last time was before my father passed away and when Wayne County still had the local tv show where one could get coupons for Gooey’s, Vann’s Bar B Q, and Sugar n’ Spice Bake Shop. They opened around ~6am. People started arriving at 5:45am and a small but noticeable lines appeared. Everyone was calm but eager. When I got up to the counter I asked for two blueberry and four vanilla (the filled). I wanted to get a dozen vanilla, but I did not want to be greedy. I am so glad I did not buy more. After arriving home and waiting to share with my brother (~2 hours later, 8am), my mother has not awaken, we discovered the four “vanilla” are actually lemon. I had my brother check the blueberry and he confirmed the flavor is correct (via a lick), but the 4 lemon filled donuts are an utter disappointment. Like sour candy in a donut. I know when my mom awakes she is going to be ticked. The worst thing to, is that I should have noticed something was wrong. I went back inside for their printed menus, and I knew the 4 vanilla creme filled (I assume) were still in the case. I summarized they retrieved some from the back and have stock up front to show availability. I was Wrong. For the Love of God Please Check Your Order if you decide to go. Thank you for reading.

I was pleasantly surprized recently while traveling thru Jesup, Ga. and looking for donuts to take to a cliant. I googled and came upon this quaint small town style bakery that took me foundly back in time to Berlin, Ohio in the heart of Amish country. Donuts were simply outstanding and the service was freindly to match. PS - the donuts were a hit with my client!! Highly recommend!

Great doughnuts and friendly and helpful staff. I discovered this place while waiting on the train and I am grateful that this place was open since the train is never on time. Make this place a stop for all your baked goods needs or for your sweet tooth.you will not regret it. There was 3 doughnuts but so good I had to stop myself so I could take this picture.

Great donuts.. IF you can get any. I dont know if they have new management or new owners, but been 2 times now recently and I ended up with donut holes both times. Last visit, almost nothing was there and it was several hours before closing time at 12. Called early a 3rd weekend to try again, which it says to do and was told I couldn't have a box held till I got there. Front counter people are not friendly and seem more like your bothering them. A good morning or a smile goes a long way. Customer service needs improvement. Our family use to love this place for years, but now it aint worth the hassle. If you go, go, if you live more than half an hour like we do, dont waste the gas. I had to update this review from a few years ago. Loved it then, just ok now. Service and atmosphere has changed for the worse. Even displays such as jams had dust...

They’re the best at what they do, every time I share with coworkers or friends, everyone has to know where I got the donuts from.

They run out quick but are constantly churning out fresh donuts. They do call ahead orders but only do so many a day in order to have some available for walkins, which should tell you something about how popular they are. Donuts, muffins, bars, cookies, bread, and more.

My ideal day starts with dozen donut holes from here, a coffee (which they also sell cheap), and my little dude watching the world go by from the bench swings by the train tracks. Gonna miss this place...
