TJ's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Joachim Township

I went to TJs bar &grill in the summer of 2018 stopped in to get a beer & wings at that time the place was cleaner wings were really good beer was real cold so on my birthday Feb 16th the wife ask me were I wanted to go I had said Haven't been to TJs in a while let's try there 0mg talk about bad service really bad food the wife &I both very bad She had the sampler platter I had 25 wings both meals fried to a hard crunch thought I was going to brake a tooth fried in grease that I think was in there for months omg Brought the wrong mix drink for the wife I'd ask the waitress what is that she said drinks you ordered and walked away couldn't get the waitress to come back after we got are food both of us took a bite and said at the same time to each other OMG so began looking for the waitress finally got her to come over told her again about the drink she laughed told her about the food we couldn't eat she said I'm sorry I'll pay for it we both thanked her i give her money for my beer and a tip said thank you again we headed out the door got in are car and was approached by this man that said hey man you need to go in there and pay your bill I open my door and said what bill..so we walk back inside seen the waitress she gives me this bill for 47.00 dollars I said what's this I thought we settled this already I said could I see your manager she pointed to him standing at the bar he turned and looked at me I explained everything to him but he couldn't understand any of it cause he was so drunk I don't think he could see me trying to explain to me the waitress works 3 jobs she can't afford to pay for your meal I need to pay for it I said I didn't want her to pay for are meals I'd asked her to take them back cause they were the worst food I have ever tasted and the mixed drink was the wrong drink that was ordered and I paid her for the beer and tip arguing from the bartender and the manager and a few customers then the manager looked at me not sure still if he could see me then said you need to pay the bill .I thought there was going to be a big fight I wasn't worried about that simply saying I would of Ripped that place apart....but came back in there to make sure things were right.but everybody was drunk trying to run a bar but to drunk to care so I had said I think its fair I paided for what we had the rest was trash have a good day and left ..while at the table trying to have conversation with the wife the DJ they had kept turning his music louder and louder I had went over to him and ask him if there was anyway he could turn that down a little he just give me a dirty look so at this time we was ready to leave we waited on or food and after we tried that it topped off the night I would never in my life try TJs again very bad business to hire help that can't do there job.back round checks seem to work when hiring help you help makes you or breaks you but first they have to care about there customers...........close it down rethink...

Today we were going to go to 54 Street Bar and Grill, then we decided on TJs Sunday around 4:30 pm. The appetizers mushrooms and cheese bites were good and hot, however my girlfriends pulled pork sandwiche was fatty and was cut up pork steak with BBQ sauce. She exchanged it for a BLT and was charged for the pulled pork. She likes crispy bacon and it wasn't crispy. She couldn't eat it and we took it to go. We were told that they won't change the price and charge us for a BLT, that we had to pay for a pulled pork. I told her let's just pay for it and go. I had the porterhouse steak. It was cold, no flavor and I had to use A 1 steak sauce, the Broccoli was way too salty, I almost couldn't eat it. The drinks were fine. It was as though the waitress forgot about my steak, while it sat in the kitchen getting cold. She was at the end of the bar on her phone. The food and service was terrible today. We normally leave big tips and go to places and spend huge sums of money. We felt as though we were looked upon as bad people. With this being said, we were at TJs 2 times before on Fridays when Slim was cooking. We had porterhouse steaks 1st time and they were excellent. We didn't use A 1 steak sauce. The appetizers mushrooms and cheese bites were also good and there version of chips were seasoned perfect. The second time we went we had wings and each had BLTs Slim even came out and ask us how we wanted our bacon cooked, me limpy , my girlfriendl ikes her bacon crispy. . . Everything was good that time. Now we are not sure if we will go back. We had them write down when Slim was working. If we do go back it will be when Slim is working. , as he knows how to cook. . Still we don't know if we will go back. We did really like the place, we are from Saint Louis and it was going to be a place...

It's pretty sad when you order a steak sandwich and it is so small that it look like a half of a sandwich with two Thin slices of steak no thicker than a quarter. Ordered medium well I guess that would be pretty hard to cook that thin so of course it came out well done .I try a bite look at my wife I told her there's no way in hell I would pay for something like this been coming here for the past few years have never got a plate that bad told waitress did not want it a few minutes later a lady came from the back of the kitchen told me I had taken to bite out of it and if I didn't pay for it then she would have to I told her I was not going to pay for it as me and my wife of 24 years was sitting at the table she called Pevely Police Department could you imagine trying to enjoy a night out and having a police officer walk up to your table soon as the officer so what was on my plate and what she had to say he couldn't disagree with me so just to make things right so that the cook would have to pay for it he was willing to pay for it that's pretty sad when a bar will go that far. The bar finally gave in and took the plate me or the officer didn't have to pay for it. Hope this was really worth losing good customers at this rate it won't be long before it's for sale I watched it come in and I watch it go out if they could only get close to when they...
