Bogle Bogle is a Korean tofu house restaurant that opened in the newly constructed plaza, the same one that houses Airang KBBQ and Divine Coffee shop. They are located in suburban Suwanee on McGinnis Ferry road so it's kind of out the way for a few people, but it is in an area with a lot of homes and businesses.
The interior of Bogle Bogle has a very ancient Egypt/Hellenistic Greek inspired interior design. There are individual seating rooms that seat up to about 4 people that align the sides of the restaurants. The center of the restaurant houses the individual tables. The interior is spacious and can house a decent amount of people if needed.
The menu is mostly based on Korean tofu and noodle dishes. There are also other options like rice sticks, chicken wings, gimbab, and dumplings to name a few as well. You definitely need more than one visit if you want to try out this diverse menu. Whatever you end up ordering, all dishes come with Korea kimchi based starter small dishes.
I've been here a few times and I have only ordered the Beef Tofu Soup dish and also the Pork Ramen (Korean style). Both dishes have rich broths and can be a bit spicy too. Similar to other dishes I have had at other Korean tofu house so nothing to out of the ordinary. All the dishes I've had were good in my opinion, not mind blowing, but still good enough that I would order it again.
From a service perspective, no real complaints. They come and check in on you every now and then, but nothing too invasive.
Overall, it's a nice a spot, that might be out the way for some people, but it's definitely worth checking out in my opinion. Even if you're not into tofu soup, the menu is diverse enough that you should find something...
Read more**another edit- Lol@ other reviewer who insinuated this was a paid review. It’s not. I will clarify that all of my visits have been around lunch time, the latter half. So we’re usually entering at the tail end of a rush period. Again, no issues with service. We do walk up to the counter to pay our bill typically but I don’t really consider that a hindrance. The only off thing was when we placed an online order for naengmyun- after submitting, the restaurant called and said they don’t do noodles to go, did we want to replace it with something else. To which we did. And it was good. But that hiccup against consistently positive ones won’t dent Bogle Bogle for us. Happy Eating! Edited to add * Sis & I have returned since my last review and now I must add that we’ve tried the kimchi kimbap and it was da booommmmbbbb!!! So good that I can report we went back the very next day and ordered it again just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t!! Bogle Bogle is our jam, does not disappoint *
My sister and I have become frequent patrons here. Their 물냉면 (mul naengmyun) is one of the best we’ve had stateside. Tastes truly homemade and not overly sweet or packaged like some other places. 반찬 is always good. Service has consistently been attentive even when they’re busy. The jiggaes are pretty hearty- maybe not the very best but definitely acceptable. Kids love their 김치파전 so that makes me a happy momma. All in all we have loved everything about Bogle Bogle and as long as they don’t change their naengmyun recipe we’ll...
Read moreOne of the worst service I've recieved. Went with a group of friends and I don't know if it was because we were a young group, but wow, the service was bad. Our waitress was nice, but would continue to use Korean with my non-Korean friends. The lady that gave us our banchan just put the tray down and told us to take it off (again in Korean) and when no one was removing them (because more than half of my friends don't understand Korean) she was pretty rude about it. We would've understood if it was busy, but it really wasn't. Near the end of the meal, someone had to leave early and asked for her check. Took them a while to give us our checks and then took 30 minutes to take our checks. I had to call for someone several times which no one responded to. Once they took our payment, they just left the checks at the register for another 10-30 minutes. Honestly, the workers were nice, but we could tell they weren't giving us the best service because we're a group of young people. The food was okay. I wouldn't tell anyone to not go here, but our experience wasn't great. I wonder how different it would've been if I came with my Korean parents instead of my...
