This was my first time visiting this bakery café after hearing great things from friends, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
I selected several items that were already packaged, as is the system here. Two of the savory items turned out to be extremely spicy — something that was not mentioned anywhere on the product labels or signs. After taking a bite and realizing how spicy it was, I asked the cashier why it wasn’t indicated. He said it had Sriracha sauce, but again, there was no warning or spice level shown. I politely asked if I could exchange it for something else (since I hadn’t eaten more than a bite), and he refused because I had already bitten into it.
To make things worse, I had ordered a hot coffee, but they gave it to me cold. Even then, I didn’t complain — I kindly said I would drink it that way, trying to be understanding. So it felt very unfair that when the mistake was on my side due to their lack of labeling, they weren’t willing to accommodate me.
On top of that, I had chosen a mini pizza for my daughter, which also didn’t mention any spice — and yet it had jalapeño slices hidden inside.
As a business owner myself, I believe in always putting the customer first and doing what we can to make them happy. It was really upsetting to be treated this way, especially on my first visit. Sadly, I won’t be coming back, and I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service and clearer...
Read moreThis review is for a Sunday afternoon visit. Great croissants! It's a croissant focused bakery. There are a variety of croissants. Almond, plain, nutella, chocolate, etc. My group got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. Crunchy on the outside, flakey on the inside. The toppings/garnishes tasted luxurious. Really well made! Best of all, the croissants are generously sized. I also liked that all pastries are encased in a closed display case. You take out what you want with tongs by opening the sliding door of the display case. Everything is baked on site, and I saw some freshly baked goods coming out of the kitchen as I was sitting there. Come early for the plain croissants - they were sold out already in the early afternoon.
Can't say the same for the quality of the coffee. Both the americano and cappuccino were just ok, nowhere near the quality of the pastries.
It's a vast space with high ceilings, so you get plenty of space.
I think the service format needs some tweaking. When ordering at the counter, it wasn't clear whether we were to pick up our coffee at the counter, or if it was going to be brought out to us. We ended up picking up the americanos ourselves at the counter, then later a server brought the cappuccino to our table? I will definitely return to try the other varieties of...
