I have updated my review. After a long hiatus, I gave it another chance so a family member could try it. The staff members mentioned in my previous review appear to no longer work there (John's Creek) and it's great now! The staff are friendly and attentive and the music is much more appropriate as well. I guess enough people complained about these things that they made some changes - which is as it should be. The food is always great as a whole! Chicken biscuit and tostada are our favs. Gotta get there early if you want a shot at that huge cinnamon roll. A lil too much bread for me but folks seem to love it. Definitely worth a try. Seating can be tight inside and it feels to close to your neighbor in many spots. But I just chalk this up to them maximizing seats in a small space. The wait can be long on weekends so come prepared for that. Original review: Disappointed in this business (Short version-skip this place) First, let me say that this review is not for the people running this business with the hope or expectation that they will change. They clearly don't care about their customers' feelings or experiences, as noted in other reviews. This is for other potential diners to make an informed decision about eating here. My recommendation after multiple visits here, which is about a 45 minute drive for me, is to use your money to support another small business.
My first significant negative interaction here was months ago when I respectfully asked the manager about the songs playing during Sunday brunch, which included repeated use of the F word among other things. My question was met with derision and nonchalance, basically too bad so sad, that's how we like it. 🤔 Okaaaaayyyyyy... So, I stopped going for a while but finally decided to give it another shot since maybe she was having a bad day, and my daughter is old enough (17) for us to joke our way through it. But I definitely wouldn't go back with a younger child.
Today's trip back, I calmly asked the SHRIEKING hostess (if you've ever been you know what I mean) about an accomodation for my dog, which THEY choose to allow on their patio. A simple question was met with an unnecessarily rude, nasty and disrespectful response - instead of a normal, "sorry but we can't do that". My daughter and I were shocked! She wanted to leave, which she is usually way too embarrassed to do when we change our minds about staying to eat somewhere.
But I decided to stay because we had driven so far and waited almost an hour. I didn't want to lose any more time going elsewhere, knowing they wouldn't give a Flip about us walking out. But that's it for me! I won't subject us to that kind of treatment at somewhere I'm paying my money to eat. I feel bad for the employees. Maybe this attitude from management is why many of them seem unhappy to be there.🤮 Sorry but I won't bother to comment on the food because today's interaction left suuuuuch a bad taste in my mouth. 😖

Read moreI went here this morning with 8 of my friends. After we ordered our drinks, I informed the waitress that we'd all be on separate checks to which she replied that their "system can't do that." We would have left when we learned this, except that we'd already ordered and recieved our drinks. Had we not asked for separate checks I guess we would have just found this out at the end of our meal because they didn't let us know when we were seated nor was it posted anywhere. None of us had been there before so we had no way of knowing. I understand that we were a large party, but there's just no way that their system is incapable of ringing up individuals and I don't appreciate being lied to. Sure it would have been less convenient for the restaurant, but it wasn't impossible. I knew they would probably add gratuity (which they did without letting us know ahead of time) because that's fairly standard for larger groups, but it would have been nice for them to let us know. Had I been allowed to pay for only my own food 1. I would have spent more money and 2. I would have left a better tip. Typically I'm a generous tipper bc I have worked in the hospitality industry. As for the food, I ordered avocado toast. It tasted fine, but it was more like arugula toast with some avocado than it was avocado toast. My friend who ordered mushroom toast thought it was hers because the avocado was barely noticeable on the toast. By the time I got to the center of the bread there was none to be found which was disappointing. Other brunch restaurants I've been to have way more avocado on their avocado toast. I wanted to really like this place and be able to leave them a glowing review because I prefer to support local businesses over larger chains, but I have never heard of any place refusing to allow individuals to pay for their own meal and only their own meal. The fact that the staff insisted that it couldn't be done as opposed to being honest and saying that they wouldn't do it really irritated me. In addition, the place seemed to have too many tables crammed into too small of an area. I'm a normal sized person and I could hardly get in and out of the restaurant so if you get antsy in tight spaces, this is not the place for you. Finally, they only have one single toilet for the entire restaurant so there was constantly a line even to just wash your hands. I will...
Read moreThe food was out of this world. We ordered the pancakes, the bacon omlette, biscuits, and the french toast. All of our dishes were amazingly full of flavor, salt, and "real" ingredients made fresh to order. The pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and everything a pancake you want to be. The french toast, we chose not to have the custard on it and only with syrup. First off the syrup alone, is infused or flavored in someway we couldn't make out. All we knew it was delicious and high quality syrup. The French toast was to die for. I picked up the slice and literally dipped it into the syrup. I didn't have time to cut it up. It was such well made french toast, with a sweet and buttery taste. The bacon omlette, definitely stood out. It had real thick bacon. Real cooked thick bacon. The vegetables/peppers were fresh and the cheese was mouth watering and plenty of salt. The potatoes that came with it, lets just say they were seasoned and again, fresh real potatoes. They were fork tender and fell apart in tenderness. The biscuits, hands down the best biscuits I've ever had. Ever. They are perfect. Literally perfect. It's everything a biscuit should be. Everything. I don't care to describe them, because if you know biscuits you know what I'm trying to say. My description would fall short of how amazing they are. The orange juice, freshly squeezed, and it tastes that way. Amazingly delicious. The coffee and cream, was fresh. The cream was real. Real cream. Delicious. Then there's the service. Dominique, out of this world. He memorized our order, literally. He was so kind and welcoming, not to mention the great personality to go along with it. He definitely holds himself to a high standard and it shows! Trudy, she knows food. She definitely told us about all of these other dishes we are going to have to come back and try. Then there's Juan. Juan spoke to me as if I was a queen. He came across so polite, humble, and hard working. You could tell he was professional and sharp at his job. Overall, there's not a single thing I would change. The food was beautifully, seasoned, cooked, flavorful, real, and perfect. A Perfect Breakfast Spot. This will be my Mom and I's breakfast spot for years to come. Thank you for allowing us to have an amazing meal....
