6/10/20- due to covid have not been here in 3 months . Took my family here today for an early dinner. Dropped my wife and 2 daughters off while I parked. Went inside, at which point my family was seated and the server was finishing taking a drink order. I noticed my wife had a strange look on here face and when I asked if anything was wrong she said no. The waiter asked if we were ready to order and i said no and to to give us about five minutes as you need to dndld the menu from a bar code scan. The server seemed a little put off by the request (though we had not even received the drink order yet). From there on service just got worse...never came back after the order, had to ask someone to get him to order 2nd drink.... then another server asked if we need boxs to go after dinner,..I noted that we wanted to order dessert and she said "ok,.. but we only have one dessert available". It happened to be what my daughter wanted. After the dessert arrived i tried to get the attention of the initial server for the check. He looked me straight in the face from 10 feet away when I raised my hand to get his attention. He paused looked down and walked in-the opposite direction. He then tried to walk quickly by our table but I loudly said excuse me, can I please get the check. .... he said yes, and 1 min later reached over my shoulder and placed the bill on the table without a word. I took the credit card out and put it on top of the bill. He then walked over and started copying my credit card number on a piece Of paper. I said "is you PoS system down?", he said yes... whereas I noted, Isn't it normal to say excuse me, our system is down so that need to copy you card info down..." his response was SIR our system us down so YES, i need to copy your card info. My entire family said he was the rudest server we've ever had at any restaurant. Apparently the ac was oos and the billing system was out...but all of the customers were dealing with the lack Of ac without issue. My then wife told me that he was rude during the drink order before I got to the table. In todays environment any restaurant that wants to survive needs-to minimally make its patrons feel welcomed. Not only did you loose a 7 year plus (over 100 visits) tonight, you lost an entire family, their future business, and all non-family...
Read moreI just dined at your Marlow's Tavern location off Old Alabama Road, in Johns Creek. This is my third time coming to this location, and I have had a problem Every. Single. Time. Marlow's Tavern, as a whole, is one of my favorite restaurants. The Midtown and Avalon locations exceed my expectations every time, especially with their Blueberry Buck and their Asparagus Fries. Due to the fact that I live closer to Old Alabama though, I have found myself going to that location. The first 2 times I ordered to go, my order was messed up. Whether it be the wrong order completely, or they forgot things in it, I've called back both times and had to go out of my way to fix the situation. This time, I decided to dine in with a few friends and it was the worst experience I have ever had, and considering I spent $90 ($78 + tip) I would think that my food and experience would be a lot different. The drink (Blueberry Buck) I ordered was watery and poorly mixed. The Shrimp and Crab Nachos were overcooked. And the Filet Mignon that I spent $23, came with ONE MINI medallion, overcooked, barely seasoned, barely any sauce, and literally a couple of potatoes and peas. The porportion size was not at all what I was expecting, since I go to other locations all of the time. I ate the entire plate in 6 bites (I counted) and I am a 5'1" 125 petite female. I pay for good quality steak and I expect to get that every single time. I also ordered a side Caesar salad but had to cancel that because this location puts boiled egg on it now?? Very foreign to me. I ordered a blue moon, to which a fly proceeded to get into my beer and start swimming. That is self explanatory. My server, although a little impatient, was very sweet so I spared her with hearing my complaints and am going straight to the source. I have faith you will come to terms with me about the problem that I...
Read moreNot for me! I walked in during my lunch hour and there was not a host to sit me down. A lady and someone towards the back by the bar glanced at me. I waited another minute and decided to saunter into the patio sitting area where there were three other tables with people already eating and one waiting for their food and the other with a couple to whom the waitress was chatting away about her grandparents and other private matters loudly enough for me to hear the whole conversation. After glancing at her several times she walk up to my table 15 minutes after. She proceeded to ask me a question in an inaudible voice. I was confused because by now I was not quite happy but still patient. I therefore said “menu please?” And she then irritably asked me if anyone else was joining me and as soon as the n for the no escaped my mouth, she snatched up the extra cutlery that was on the table and walked off abruptly. So I waited and waited some more. A lady who looked like a manager came over and asked me if she could help me. I said “yes please, May I see the menu”. She slapped a menu she had in her hand down and walked away…so I waited some more. About 10 minutes later, the waitress came back to ask me if I needed anything. By now I had gotten the message. I WAS NOT WANTED THERE!! I made my excuses and told her that I thought I could have a quick lunch because I work next door, but I really did not have any more time to waste but even more importantly, I did not feel comfortable and the thought of something happening to my food on its way over…. So no. I look NOT...
