6/10/20- due to covid have not been here in 3 months . Took my family here today for an early dinner. Dropped my wife and 2 daughters off while I parked. Went inside, at which point my family was seated and the server was finishing taking a drink order. I noticed my wife had a strange look on here face and when I asked if anything was wrong she said no. The waiter asked if we were ready to order and i said no and to to give us about five minutes as you need to dndld the menu from a bar code scan. The server seemed a little put off by the request (though we had not even received the drink order yet). From there on service just got worse...never came back after the order, had to ask someone to get him to order 2nd drink.... then another server asked if we need boxs to go after dinner,..I noted that we wanted to order dessert and she said "ok,.. but we only have one dessert available". It happened to be what my daughter wanted. After the dessert arrived i tried to get the attention of the initial server for the check. He looked me straight in the face from 10 feet away when I raised my hand to get his attention. He paused looked down and walked in-the opposite direction. He then tried to walk quickly by our table but I loudly said excuse me, can I please get the check. .... he said yes, and 1 min later reached over my shoulder and placed the bill on the table without a word. I took the credit card out and put it on top of the bill. He then walked over and started copying my credit card number on a piece Of paper. I said "is you PoS system down?", he said yes... whereas I noted, Isn't it normal to say excuse me, our system is down so that need to copy you card info down..." his response was SIR our system us down so YES, i need to copy your card info. My entire family said he was the rudest server we've ever had at any restaurant. Apparently the ac was oos and the billing system was out...but all of the customers were dealing with the lack Of ac without issue. My then wife told me that he was rude during the drink order before I got to the table. In todays environment any restaurant that wants to survive needs-to minimally make its patrons feel welcomed. Not only did you loose a 7 year plus (over 100 visits) tonight, you lost an entire family, their future business, and all non-family...

I just dined at your Marlow's Tavern location off Old Alabama Road, in Johns Creek. This is my third time coming to this location, and I have had a problem Every. Single. Time. Marlow's Tavern, as a whole, is one of my favorite restaurants. The Midtown and Avalon locations exceed my expectations every time, especially with their Blueberry Buck and their Asparagus Fries. Due to the fact that I live closer to Old Alabama though, I have found myself going to that location. The first 2 times I ordered to go, my order was messed up. Whether it be the wrong order completely, or they forgot things in it, I've called back both times and had to go out of my way to fix the situation. This time, I decided to dine in with a few friends and it was the worst experience I have ever had, and considering I spent $90 ($78 + tip) I would think that my food and experience would be a lot different. The drink (Blueberry Buck) I ordered was watery and poorly mixed. The Shrimp and Crab Nachos were overcooked. And the Filet Mignon that I spent $23, came with ONE MINI medallion, overcooked, barely seasoned, barely any sauce, and literally a couple of potatoes and peas. The porportion size was not at all what I was expecting, since I go to other locations all of the time. I ate the entire plate in 6 bites (I counted) and I am a 5'1" 125 petite female. I pay for good quality steak and I expect to get that every single time. I also ordered a side Caesar salad but had to cancel that because this location puts boiled egg on it now?? Very foreign to me. I ordered a blue moon, to which a fly proceeded to get into my beer and start swimming. That is self explanatory. My server, although a little impatient, was very sweet so I spared her with hearing my complaints and am going straight to the source. I have faith you will come to terms with me about the problem that I...

Not for me! I walked in during my lunch hour and there was not a host to sit me down. A lady and someone towards the back by the bar glanced at me. I waited another minute and decided to saunter into the patio sitting area where there were three other tables with people already eating and one waiting for their food and the other with a couple to whom the waitress was chatting away about her grandparents and other private matters loudly enough for me to hear the whole conversation. After glancing at her several times she walk up to my table 15 minutes after. She proceeded to ask me a question in an inaudible voice. I was confused because by now I was not quite happy but still patient. I therefore said “menu please?” And she then irritably asked me if anyone else was joining me and as soon as the n for the no escaped my mouth, she snatched up the extra cutlery that was on the table and walked off abruptly. So I waited and waited some more. A lady who looked like a manager came over and asked me if she could help me. I said “yes please, May I see the menu”. She slapped a menu she had in her hand down and walked away…so I waited some more. About 10 minutes later, the waitress came back to ask me if I needed anything. By now I had gotten the message. I WAS NOT WANTED THERE!! I made my excuses and told her that I thought I could have a quick lunch because I work next door, but I really did not have any more time to waste but even more importantly, I did not feel comfortable and the thought of something happening to my food on its way over…. So no. I look NOT...

A wonderful lunch experience with my daughter. It started with my beer being spilled in my direction; and expertly caught in a glass! Not a drop on my new sweater or anywhere else for that matter. Lucas attended to us with regularity, respect and a high level of professionalism. Parmesan fries, fish tacos and fresh fried okra were cooked to perfection and served at the perfect temperature. Everything was absolutely delicious. As for the atmosphere: it was mellow, with music drifting from the bar area to our booth at the other side of the restaurant. The lighting was just right and the decorum was tasteful and thoughtful. Now for covid-19 precautions. The place upon inspection was virtually spotless and face coverings were worn by the staff. We felt securely distanced from the other patrons and glass shields adorned the tops of the seat-backs of the booths. High marks for Marlow's in all of the details that went into our dining experience. Thank you to all involved to bring quality to a place so close to my home. We will see you again soon. Edit: over the course of several years my daughter has decided that the macaroni here has been better every single time we have been here. I am not good at math but there seem to be no diminishing returns where the macaroni is concerned which may defy physics. I'm not a scientist but this place rules.

Ordered the sea bass fish tacos. They came out burnt to a crisp. Asked for a remake of one of the tacos and it came back almost raw. I have celiacs and ordered from the gluten-free menu. Ordered Caesar salad as a side and they glutened me with crumbled croutons. My stomach is in so much pain and am extremely bloated. I just took my celiac medication and It will take days for this gluten to pass through my system. I spoke to the manager Chris, who is an utter disgrace for a manager. He said he had poor vision and couldn't tell if there were croutons and that he told his kitchen staff that it was a gluten-free order. He clearly wanted to be argumentative and literally had zero compassion for the situation that I was just put in being glutened. Obviously it was not gluten free. It's very upsetting because I've tried so hard to find places to eat that understand the importance of celiacs and/or gluten sensitivity. This manager did not give one single care. Will never go to this Marlow's again! It's such a shame because it's used to be great. Will continue to be a patron of Avalon Marlow's from this point forward. The extra drive to the Avalon Marlow's is well worth it for anybody living in the Johns Creek/Country Club of the South Area.

This is the original - and in my opinion the best - Marlow's. It's a great lunch spot, with fast service and consistently well prepared food. Over the years (and more than 100 visits) I've tried their salads, burgers, tacos, steak, chicken, and fish. I've seldom had any issue with my order - and the couple times I was brought the 'incorrect' item, it actually helped me discover what became a new favorite (thinking of you, Chickpea Fries and Miso Soy Vinaigrette)! One of my favorite parts is everything on the menu is good - so rather than ordering based on their specialty, you can order to your taste. Of the dozens of people I've introduced to Marlow's, all have been happy with their food and service. My most commonly ordered dishes are their salads, chickpea fries, and chicken stack; my husband loves the fish tacos, burgers, and truffle fries. If you're looking for a great meal in the neighborhood, I recommend it!
