Denny's — Restaurant in Johnston

I never leave reviews but this one had to be left because they need to do better . I ordered pumpkin pecan pie pancakes there was literally HAIRS what looked like somebody’s beard hairs cooked into my pancakes I didn’t notice it until I almost finished eating them I wanted to throw up . We told the hostess because the waitress could hardly walk and had to wheel everything to the table she was really nice but I really don’t think she should be working as a waitress in that much distress … anyways she said “that’s disgusting I’ll take it off the bill” she didn’t even take the whole meal off the bill just six bucks for the pancakes … cheap and ignorant this is a absolutely disgusting that’s the least they could have done , the floor is gross as hell the high chair I put my daughter in was so nasty I had to wipe it down myself and it still wasn’t clean this place is just gross and they are charging way too much for nasty food . It honestly should be shut down I get it’s like a late night place but there should never be multiple pieces of hair in someone’s food they need to get it together fire the cooks I don’t know !!!! I wish we had just waited at the nice breakfast place we planned on going to but it was a Sunday morning and busy . Complete waste of money , I felt sick all day from this and woke up the next morning still thinking of it...

I’ll start by saying I’ve never had a good experience at this Dennys after 6pm the staff at this time is absolutely horrible, they are incredibly rude, they completely ignore customers standing at the counter. This time I went in around 10pm, Stood at the counter for a solid 5 minutes with workers in the back glancing at me before one of the waitresses “Accidentally” walked by me and had to help me she seemed very annoyed and went to get my order and couldn’t find which she starts yelling the younger girl comes out and says oh that order we have that away awhile ago so the first woman shrugs her shoulders at me and says well we gave that away mind you I already paid for my order, I’m baffled I informed her of that she rolls her eyes the entire time I’m repeating my order, about 10 minutes later a man comes out for the kitchen area grabs a bag from the kitchen counter and slowly pushed it towards me while I was looking down without a word, I looked up and the younger girl was there I was like is this mine? And she goes “well if whatever you ordered is in the bag then yeah” in a very rude tone, After all this I contacted corporate who responded with a automated message saying the restaurant where this occurred will contact me well they called me at 6pm at night which I did not answer I was not about to be harassed on the...

I just want to share my experience to warn others who are gluten free or have a gluten intolerance Denny’s may advertise the gluten-free on their menu but the cooks are not up to date on what gluten allergy really is.... We went this past week with my boyfriend’s mom who has a gluten allergy which we informed the waitress before we even ordered,!we told her that everything needed to be cleaned off described then the severity of the allergy....her food came....before we could even get the check she was getting sick (this women came all the way from Virginia to vist her granddaughter half her day was ruined because of this trip to Denny’s) we go to tell the manager and the manager tells us that her district manager is on the line cooking so there was not an issue with the kitchen staff and that she probably had a stomach bug 😤😠😡After insisting that wasn’t the case and realizing that we weren’t going to get a resolution we asked for the manager’s name which I can’t remember now ( very overly tanned dark haired women) because the whole experience was pretty upsetting and I told her I did reviews on google and then I would make the review ( after hearing this she took off my boyfriends moms meal)so if you gluten-free just beware when you go to Denny’s this probably isn’t the place...
