Los Dos Garcia's — Restaurant in Johnstown

Out of 50 minutes spent there tonight, probably about 30 of it was spent waiting. It seems like the person answering the phone is also the person that seats you, which is totally fine. Not fine was waiting approximately 7-10 minutes to be acknowledged after walking in while they were up there on the phone. I would never expect you to hang up on the caller by any means, any sort of eye contact or a quick wave to acknowledge existence would go miles. There were 5 open tables at the time so it's not a matter of being packed that had us waiting. After being seated, it took another 2 minutes for someone to drop off chips and salsa, and another 3 before our server stopped by to grab a drink order. Not a large wait, 5 minutes total, though now we're 15 minutes in to our experience and that IS a large wait. By the time our drinks found their way to the table, the chips were gone, so we ordered a dip combo and more chips. The server also took our food order at that time. I don't think it's impressive to not write things down, and I think every time someone "memorizes" an order something is wrong. I'm never surprised it's wrong, just annoyed at the delay really. After sitting with an empty chip basket for about 5 minutes someone came by to grab it, and I thought was refilling it, but it never showed up. So that was different. Roughly 15 minutes after we ordered, and about 10 minutes after we ran out of chips, our food came out. Not the appetizer we ordered. That was forgotten in the "memorized" order. Just the food. The person that brought the food, not our server, did ask if we were missing an appetizer because I mentioned it to the busser as they passed by, and we said yes, but now that our food was there we didn't need it, just some queso. She left to put that order in. And in a surprise to no one, after biting into the food we realized the meal order was incorrect. After waiting another 2 minutes for our server who didn't show up, I decided to walk my own food to the bar to get it fixed. So my family ate while I waited another 5 minutes for my correct meal. About that time the girl who was not our server dropped off queso, which must've prompted our server to remember he forgot or dip combo, because he came and removed the queso and then brought the magic missing appetizer.

The food wasn't bad tbh. Not overly greasy. And it looked appealing. The absolute disorganized clusterfudge of eating there just wasn't worth it. I'm super bummed, I was hoping this would be a great local place to sit down for a drink and some good Mexican food. It's just not worth the...

The service here was very good. I felt like they came to check on us quite often and they made sure everything was good throughout the meal. The salsa here is really good! It has a good flavor with a bit of a spice which most places are lacking these days. We ordered an appetizer (queso fondido) which was really good. It came out on a sizzling skillet, and had chorizo cheese onion and jalapenos. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos, and my wife ordered the Combo #4. The Combo was good. The Chile relleno was pretty good, and though the enchilada was a little small it was also pretty good. The flaunts was the best item on the combo in my opinion. The tacos were average for what you would expect from a street taco. Its was good but nothing over the top. I did notice that my meal said it came with 4 tacos, but actually made 3 tacos unless I took a lil meat from the other 3 to make the 4th. Overall this is a nice little spot with decent food and good service, but a bit pricier than you would like to see for a Mexican Restaurant. I will be back again to try some other things on the...

This hidden gem is easily one of the top restaurants in all of NOCO! The wait staff is incredible they are very friendly and without question some of the most patient people I have come across. They can make you an excellent mixed drink. Now the food is amazing. The carna asada is seasoned so well that you can taste the love that was put into the dish. Every dish I have chosen so far has been fantastic. If you want a real treat ask for some Mexican candies. Go check this place out for a very fine experience. You will not be disappointed.
