We went Saturday night after going to Cemeno's and being told it's an hour+ wait......Uhhhhh No. It's Joliet and I'm not waiting anywhere for more that 20 minutes especially since I've been there b4 and it's not that serious. I had out of state guest and really wanted them to experience a Chicago style pizza without having to go back into the city. Big mistake that was totes on me for not taking the ride. I remember Aurelio's pizza from when I was younger and it was always good. I called b4 going and there was no waiting and it was 5 minutes away so off we go. We ordered mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, large family salad, a large taco pizza and and a large thick supreme. The supreme pizza was made with almost no red sauce and it was super difficult to cut.... actually a big annoyance to cut, the crust was terrible. Mostly mushrooms, green pepper, some sausage,a few pieces of ham and whatever else. I was disappointed and a lil embarrassed bc it's def not what I remember from years ago. I didn't let on bc we were enjoying each other, talking, catching up, drinking and having a good time. I didn't try the taco pizza, only the supreme, salad and one buffalo wing.... good but damn was it hot. Too much for me but if you like spicy hot stuff I'd try it. We had the whole left side of the restaurant all to ourselves which was kool. It appeared they only had one waitress for the entire place but to be fair it was almost 8pm. I only say that bc service was so slow in the beginning taking almost 10-15 minutes b4 she came to the table and asked what we wanted to drink. Anyway after that she was great, everyone there was nice and we did enjoy ourselves staying until closing. I really was expecting a much higher quality pizza. Kinda sux to say but unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll...
Read moreMy family's thoughly disgusted with the service we received while interacting with the staff to report a problem with our order. We ordered two pizzas and a 2 L pop. One of ther pizzas we ordered was correct, but with the other one was an incorrect thickness. We ordered a thick crust fiesta pizza, and we received a thin crust fiesta pizza. When my Mom called back about to complain about the issue, she was told that they used two thin crusts to make the thick pizza, and she's told that it didn't have time to rise. We weren't told about this happening to the pizza before it was made or when I went to pick up the order.
We're very disappointed that our options from the staff member was to bring the pizza back to have it remade tonight, which is an hour round trip and about an additional hour to remake it; or to bring it back tomorrow for a full refund, which wouldn't be worth the gas money to go back to do so. Thus, we're stiffed with the bill of paying for a pizza that clearly isn't the size that was paid. The staff member she talked to -the chef who made the pizza and cut both of our pizzas- didn't even offer to pay the difference of the incorrect size.
Lesson of the day: Make sure you manually check the pizzas to get what you've paid and not get taken advantage of by the staff here.
Feel free to browse through the pictures and see if you want to pay for a thick crust and get thin crust instead. The "thick crust" pizzas have mostly square pieces with one half ham and other half toppings, and the thin crust has pinapple on it. We're not coming back...
Read moreGot the small stuffed pizza pepperoni obviously. Also tortellini with Alfredo obviously it came with 2 bread sticks. This is my first time trying this place. I'm kinda mixed on the pizza sauce some bits were good some bits were overpowering. I guess I liked it but I small doses obviously. After a few slices I started scraping off the sauce from the top. The cheese omg the pizza was super cheesy and loaded with pepperoni obviously. I would definitely try it again but opt for light sauce obviously. The tortellini you could tell was homemade because of how big they were and how they were wrapped obviously. But alas I must digres they had the same flavor as store bought frozen tortellini. The Alfredo sauce was ok it thickened up as it got colder as it should obviously. But once again I must digres the flavor was just not there for me it was bland like if my mind was creating the flavor because I knew it was Alfredo sauce so I was thinking the flavor instead of tasting it if that makes any sense obviously. In conclusion I would definitely try the pizza again maybe a thin crust next time but I would not get any pastas from this place ever again obviously. Thank you for reading my review and I hope your experience will be as pleasant as...
