SluttyVegan Jonesboro — Restaurant in Jonesboro

Very disappointing experience. My first time at slutty vegan in Atlanta, been to the Birmingham, AL location multiple times. Loved this place in Birmingham because it offered one of my favorite dishes, Burgers, in a vegan alternative.

Walking into the restaurant the trash was overflowing right by the door and the kitchen did not look visibly clean. Staff did not provide slutty vegan usually introduction which is a big part of the experience.

Restaurant did not offer a free water cup as they do not have tap water as the staffer told me. I then ordered a Pepsi which was 50 cents more than advertised on the menu right above the checkout which I did not catch until I had my receipt in hand.

While waiting for my food and finding a place to sit I noticed that the alcoholic slushy machines were not filled and the drinks weren’t sold that evening - very unfortunate as it was a main reason that I decided to visit the restaurant again.

Order a fussy hussy like many times before but could not finish more than half of it because it tastet that bad. Burger tasted old and was cold even though it was freshly made. Usually my burgers at slutty vegan would taste like a normal burger with real meat; this one did not at all. Something tasted off with it. Fries were good and seasoned well but if you’re used to Heinz ketchup the store brand ketchup was not good.

Overall the store felt dirty and not well cared for. Almost none of the merchandise products were available leaving many walls looking empty contributing to an unclean feel. Honestly the cashier saved this from being a 1 star review. I was so excited to try Slutty Vegan in person after being gifted plenty of gear and even having my husband bring some back to San Diego on a flight. The food was underwhelming though. It actually tasted better last year when I got it after a 5 hour flight. The restaurant itself needed a good scrub. The walls looked gross with some sort of dust build up and the tables all needed a good wipe down. I won’t even start on the bathroom and the state of the public spaces causes my mind to wander about how the private places look. Anywho, the cashier was really nice and was the redeeming factor for this review. She made a joke about how she would have given us the proper slutty welcome but we had a youngin’ with us so she held back. I was so sad that the food was disappointing because I ordered a decent amount of food too and none of it hit how I wanted it to. My husband said maybe a different location would be better but I wouldn’t visit any more Slutty Vegan locations. I’d rather spend $50 on groceries and make my own food for what it’s worth because a box of morning star farms chicken pattys would taste the same and I could add more toppings and not be eating some sad looking sandwich. I honestly cant even rock my swag with the same enthusiasm as before....

I had my very first vegan burger today. And this was my first time visiting any of your locations. I went to the Jonesboro location. And when I say the staff is just so infectiously pleasant. First of all the food was so good! I got a fussy hussy and the lavender cranberry lemonade and I'm still in disbelief that what I ate was not meat or the result of any animal byproduct. It tasted that good! There was one girl there I didn't catch her name but she is such a pure burst of joy. I got there around maybe 3:30pm or so this afternoon and I don't like to identify my melinated people by their skin tones but she is a red bone maybe about 5'9 and she's slim. And she was outside giving samples of the lemonades and you could tell she actually loves her job. And she just made the wait all the less inconvenient because she was just so hype and just so positive. Sometimes people don't realize how their energy can affect others and she literally made the experience all the more better for me. She crashed one of my pics but its blurry because she ran into it.
