Waffle House — Restaurant in Jonesville

It is by far the worst Waffle House I have ever been too. Only one other customer in there eating, but every table in the store was dirty, while one employee was outside smoking and the other waitress and the cook was in conversation with the other customer. We sat at out table about 10 minutes before a waitress asked what we wanted to drink at which time we placed our entire order. Took longer than it should to get the order, and the order was missing items. I got pork chops and couldn't eat more than one bite of them, they were terrible the hash browns were far too crispy couldn't eat half of them. The staff was very rude, drab, slow, and never smiled. Then when I went to pay I then found out that it was the only Waffle House I've been too that doesn't offer a military discount cashier said, in a rude manner, "you can take it up with corporate" I wouldn't mind not getting the military discount if they had offered some kind of reparation for the inedible food they placed in front of me. Was skeptical when I walked in at 6:00pm and the place was empty. Only the cook and one waiter were there. All the tables were empty and cleared off, none of them were clean. The cook was taking out garbage and barely washed her hands before cooking my food. She did put on gloves. While I was eating I watched her pull a clump of something out of the pot of grits with her bare hands. She also compacted the garbage in a can with her foot. First waffle was burned on outside and raw in the middle. It seems that the locals have figured out that this place is nasty which explains being empty at dinner time. As far as the waiter...good service is more than slapping food down in front of the customers. It begins with having a clean environment for your guests. As empty as the restaurant was there was no excuse for the filth on the floors, crumbs on the seats, drink and syrup rings on the tables and the sticky menu's. Offering a drink...

My boyfriend and I visited this Waffle House because it is his favorite place but it's not our location. The place was busy with a waiting line. We chose the bar top to leave booths for family. The server that washed her dishes immediately in front of us didn't bother to look up and acknowledge us but since they were busy we figured we were not her table. It took her 20 min to approach and apologise and take our order. What bothers us is not that it was busy but she didn't even have the courtesy to greet while immediately in front of us. Mind you 3 servers & 2 cooks and not one hello or hey or sorry. I hope they can give positive criticism and get them to understand that a simple apology at the first moment and not at the end goes a long way in making a customer feel less of...
